My wife listens to podcasts relentlessly, since everyone makes them, and she swears by them. Does anyone have any Football Card podcasts that they listen to that are consistently good?
I tried one last night and fell asleep during it.
I tried some general ones, but they all lean heavily into baseball (not unexpected).

I’d rather punch myself in the twig and berries and stick sharpened pencils in my ears than listen to a podcast about sports cards. As you already noted that has to be incredibly boring. Probably good to help fall asleep though.

This may 100% be the answer. I guess, I do love shooting the *$%& with people here and if someone could capture that in a podcast form, it might be a good listen.

I do a podcast with my wife each week about collectable cards in general

Sports Card Radio - this is the original sports card podcast dating back to like 2010. Used to listen to it a lot, haven't paid much attention to their newer releases over the past couple of years which is much more business focused
Sports Card Nonsense
Pack to the Future
Had to find a football exclusive podcast though, but the three above (especially the last two for newer content) should fulfill your needs I hope
Which one did you listen to that made you fall asleep?

I would settle for someone putting out voiceover videos every Sunday reading off the highlight BO posts from that week and discussing who earned themselves a vacation.

Mojobreak is probably the best overall that I’ve encountered, but it’s not limited to just football. That may be a tough find.

Football Card Questcast? It's wasn't terrible or anything, it was well-produced. It just felt a bit like they were riffing and a lot of filler lead in instead of getting right to it. It felt like there was a lot of talk, but not a point of view.
I think being a likable, charismatic, focused personality over radio is a real skill. Not easy.

It's also why I think most breakers are intolerable to watch. They are usually super dry, low energy or way too much two backyard dudes energy.

Lukas, Tigers and Brons - good mixture
Mojobreak - little of everything
The crossover (card ladder guys) - but its more basketball then football ... but rarely any baseball

Yeah I dunno, maybe you have to reset your expectations or give these guys a chance since most of these podcasts started fairly recently and mostly all are just amateurs that haven't really hit their stride so to speak. Not everyone is going to have a face for radio or charisma like you and myself - we are the exception. I'm mostly of the opinion that if people are talking cards in any forum, I'm just entertained to listen to their point of view.

I like Sports Card Nonsense. They talk equal NFL/NBA/MLB cards and mix in other sports/non sports cards. They are part of the Ringer so they get decent guests.

I've listened to some sports cards podcasts that were terribly boring.
These are some good ones:
- Stacking Slabs (general interest, he talks a lot about football and wrestling)
- Slab Talk | The Bounce (general, lot of basketball and football)
- Pack to the Future (good mix of basketball and football)
- Wax Museum (all basketball, but still an outstanding podcast)
