A family friend of mine reached out to me asking about a NBA sporting news guide from 1969-1970 signed by many people. He found this at an antique store many many years ago he’s wondering if it’s real and how much it’s worth. The book is well worn and marked up. It includes these signatures Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, Bill Bradley, Dave DeBusschere, Earl Monroe, Lew Alcindor just to name a few.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220711/359d2e5c30964aaf26a25a6dd992ff50.jpg

It honestly looks like the same person signed all of those.

This is exactly what I was thinking as I looked through them, but didn’t want to be the first to say it. Look at the D’s and J’s. Waaaaaay too many look similar.

The ink looks way too fresh for something that should be 50 years old. Also they're all the same consistency if they would have been done over time. Some would be more faded than others.

What is Topps doing mucking in the vintage yearbook market SMH.

On the positive side, if the Bucks ever need a new design they can take some cues here.

one page, five names starting with "J" and all have similar characteristics.

a couple of things that jumped out at me.

first - where / how would someone be in a position to get every person (including office personnel) to sign this.

some of the signatures look like they could be authentic, but they (at least to me) are way overshadowed by the rest.
