PSA Screwed up and won't admit their mistake. Advice?

I sent in an Anthony Edwards Panini Instant Autograph to PSA for grading. When I received it back (PSA 10), the label stated it was a 2019 card. So, I filed a Label Correction Request to PSA. Pictures are attached. Here was their response:

Thank you for submitting your request to the Customer Request Center.

Reviewing your request, this card is correctly labeled as a 2019 Panini Instant Icon & Association HA1 Anthony Edwards. I do see that the copyright date does state 2020, but the season began in 2019, so that's why your card is dated as such.

I replied back to them and stated that the card CLEARLY states on the back that this card is from 2020-21 Panini Instant. Furthermore, at the very bottom of back of the card, it states that it was made in 2021. Either way, this is obviously from 2020-21 and they won't admit their mistake. If they knew anything about basketball cards, they would know that Anthony Edwards couldn't even legally sign autographs with an NBA logo in 2019. Not to mention, in 2019, he didn't even know which team he'd be playing for.

Any advice? Is this not a big deal? Will this affect the sell price?

I can understand your frustration but wouldn't lose sleep over it. Regardless, it's a beautiful PSA 10 Anthony Edwards on-card RC auto. No one is going to stare at the label title and suddenly lose interest.

Their ID & Research team is useless. At least they respond. The Beckett guys have never ever replied any of the times Ive reached out.

That is unfortunate. I would simply try contacting them again with the specific details you've laid out. You can also tell them that this is currently the only Anthony Edwards card that is graded in 2019 so that should help prove that you're right.

Main thing is to remain professional and calm in your communication with them. They probably have a lot of things going on and you'll have better luck if you're nice with them.

As for your other question, I don't think it affects the value that much, if at all. I know I'd be annoyed if that were in my PC though just because I'm OCD and like to organize things by date.

I emailed their customer service after noticing they had graded several trading card game reprints as originals when I was browsing eBay. They clearly have an "RE" on the front of the card designating reprint. I told them how it was negatively impacting the pop report by falsely inflating the pop for the original gem copies I had. I even provided the cert numbers to them hoping maybe they would deactivate them. They told me I could open a request and send them in for a label correction... :doh:

For PSA that is a pretty minor mistake.

I can't see how it would affect the sale price.

The only disappointing part is the response to your question. They are likely to busy to worry about a reholder in this case.

Wrong is wrong. Even though it's minor, it is PSA's mistake and it should be a rather quick and easy fix without any issues. I don't understand the denial because it's clear as day they made a mistake. Like.. own up to it! Instead of doubling down like we (the customers) are a bunch of idiots.

It is actually a big deal because I don’t think this passes EBay’s AG due to the label. List it as the correct card then it doesn’t match the cert. List it the way it is labeled and it’s INAD.

Hey! I work for Collectors and sent this over to someone. The information we initially received from the manufacturer was how we labelled the card. After clarification with them, we are now going to send you a return label so that we can edit the flip to say 2020 instead of 2019.

Said about what I can haha. The information we received for this set from the manufacturer is the exact way that we labelled the card originally. After working with them more they realized they made a mistake in what they gave us, so now we are fixing this flip to the corrected year.
