Top 20 players in the NBA 2022-2023 edition.

Players rise and fall every year. Some guys that have been mainstays in the top 20 for years but will eventually fall and younger players will take their place.

Who are your top 20 players right now going into 2022-2023? Doesn't have to be in any specific order.

I'll go first and make a list off the top of my head and fill them in random order. I'll probably forget someone so don't shoot me.

The first 10 were easy for me to pick the last 5 i had to think about it. Harden and AD have fallen out of top 10 players imo but i still have them in the top 20 if they can remain healthy. That's something that i've noted with a few other players as well.

That's 28 players. It's not easy to crack the top 20. I feel like that gets thrown out there a lot "he's a top 20 player". Are they though? When you start putting the names down it's not easy to pick the last 5 or so. It's hard to exclude someone but it's equally hard to take someone off the list.

I had to put Zion in my top 20 based on what i think he can do in a full-ish season like he did in year 2. He played 61 games and averaged 27-7-4 as a 20 year old. He's still very young so age is not a concern for him yet. And he's healthy atm.

How do you put Zion on any list when he’s played 80 games in 3 years? And put him above 2 VERY proven players in Kawhi and Lillard? LOL

My list is not in any specific order and i didn't look at a list of names when i chose them.

As for the reason i picked Zion you could read my answer above. How many players average 27-7-4 as a 20 year old? He's a very efficient scorer 27 points a game on 17 FGA. He's healthy right now. I'm expecting an as good of season as year 2 or better unless he gets hurt again. His potential is so high and i've already seen enough to help me make that decision so i included him.
