View Full Version : Cards with a player's whole career stats on the back?

One of my favorite parts of a card is that huge block of numbers showing a player's stats each season throughout their career. It seems to have become increasingly uncommon.
Does anyone know of any sets, especially modern, that include the player's entire career numbers on the back, season by season?
Example attached from 2014 NBA Hoops

I, too, hate how rare this has become with Panini cards. Used to love memorizing stats for the best players from the backs of their cards.

I believe all of the 2006-07 Fleer 86-87 Retro Set has the player's whole career on the back.
I checked MJ and he has his whole career and KG has 95 to 2005-06.

Really miss that personally. Growing up I loved memorizing and learning statistics from cards. It's what got me into baseball, and then I got more and more into basketball. I always liked collecting first year and last year cards, the last year with all the statistics was always a cool bookend kind of card to pair with rcs. I suppose because of the internet and the glut of information available the card manufacturers largely stopped doing all the statistics on the back because it seemed redundant (?). I think it'd be nice if there were a few standard sets that included them.

Yes I loved that part of cards and also had a great time stat checking/keeping as a kid. Most of the low end Topps and Upper Deck sets showed all of the stats, as well as the Hoops sets.

Instead you get some of the purplest panini prose of all time.
Random first-click example from my guy Nesmith, Select 2021: "Boasting long arms and a quick shimmy..." ok I can't continue reading already.
Ok, let's try Obsidian: 'It takes some doing to do something never done before in Celtics history..." Whoah, threw up a little in my mouth.
Prizm: "Volume and efficiency, Nesmith blends the best of both from the perimeter." That's decent English, but an outright lie at his stage of career. Better to identify this as a problem area that he hopes to get better at, if he gets volume.
Just fill the card with stats and maybe a line about hobbies with a cartoon, if there is room.

Loved reading stats and seeing what year a player was killing it.
