Back in 2010 I had not drawn in several years. I was fully immersed in being a full time graphic designer and had just left a job after 7 years to start my own design company. I’ve always been a sports (baseball mostly) fan, and collected trading cards,and when I pulled a You Sketch blank out of a pack of Topps baseball cards, I was hooked on sketch cards. I had never seen one in person, yet I loved them, seeing many great artists online posting theirs. I decided to give it a shot and had planned on sending it in, but loved it so much I kept it. This is my very first sketch card. I’ve done several hundred since then, (did several sketch cards for Topps over the years) but this is the one that started them all. I chose Albert Pujols because at that time he was the best and also my favorite player at the time. I’ve decided to sell it and let someone else appreciate it, but if not it’s something I certainly don’t mind keeping. If anyone is interested I’m asking $300 delivered.
