I’m 44. Got back into collecting in 2008. Bought graded quality and scarcity. I sold 95% of my collection in late 2020 and early 2021. I’m left with a handful of cards. I want prices to go back down. I’d really like a Jackie Robinson 48 leaf in PSA 4 or 5. Here’s what’s left. What else should I target?

Tiger Woods 2001 SP Auto PSA 10 ( I think the auto is a 10 too but not graded)
Wayne Gretzky 1979 Oilers Postcard PSA 10 (pop 4)
Greg Maddux 1987 Tiffany PSA 10 Auto 10
Greg Maddux 1987 Leaf SGC 100 (nicest one I’ve seen)
Earnhardt and Petty Traks Autograph PSA 10 (pop 7- this card has potential imo)
Ken Griffey 1989 UD PSA 10
Joe Montana 1981 PSA 9
David Robinson 1989 Hoops PSA 10
I have a few other rare Maddux PSA 10 autos but that’s it.
Biggest regret is not collecting Tom Brady because I knew better. I never got into modern cards much.

Just my two cents, but:
1. A nice Maddux auto (maybe a patch/auto).
2. A DiMaggio, Mantle, Mays, Aaron, or Williams.
3. A Spud Webb rookie, for fun variety.

I’m been around long enough but would you buy a 30-40k Robinson today off eBay? Obviously I would do thorough due diligence. Better off going to card shows? Never been to one of you can believe that.

go to the show this year (it's in Chicago at the end of July) for big pickups

You sold at the best time, arguably, in the history of the sports card hobby. I wouldn’t buy anything until we start to see a bottom. Vintage is holding stronger than modern but at this point unless you have an itch you simply must scratch I would suggest sitting tight on the Jackie leaf or any other high end card.

Jackie Robinson cards took off in 2020. There were a lot of people drawn to his cards from the publicity of the BLM protests. His cards have been pretty stable for the last two years. I would look at auction houses like REA, Heritage, Memory Lane, etc. instead of eBay. Babe Ruth would be the best name to invest in. His 1933 Goudey cards are pretty easy to find and good eye appeal cards will go up over time. The same applies to t206 Ty Cobb cards.
