He’s injury prone. Even casuals already know that. But we’ve never seen anyone else return from a major Achilles tear and be that equal to what they were before the injury. I know it’s fun to hate the guy, but it really was incredible. He’ll come back from this far less significant injury and be one of the top players in the league again. It’s the same every time.

I just assumed after 13 All-Star appearances, 2 x championships, 10 x All-NBA honors, 4 x Scoring Champs, an appearance on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and a lock for HOF as soon as he is eligible...that an injury does not move the needle on his prices.

His position in the sport and hobby is surely now fully locked in. Does it even change if he adds a couple more championships?

At this point his prices just move with usual seasonal and wider macro prices to cards; rather than anything he does / does to do on the court. Or am I just not that close to things?

I think the fact that he still dominates when healthy at this stage of his career does shore up his card values. If he wasn't still great, I think his card values would be lower because, in part, he's got baggage.

I am not a fan of injury-prone/load management/etc guys that are playing like 50 reg season games a year but KD is a different level of good that I think makes him still collectible vs a Kawhi
