I opened a box of this last week and pulled a Payton PMG. It looks like it will grade a 7 or 8. What's this worth?

The crease on the back will bring it down a grade or two.

Already on the way to PSA so I can't take pics. But I'll post post-grading pics. And no three fiddy won't get a deal done for this card!

What a difference a year makes. You would have garnered a lot of degen admirers opening an entire box of 97. I mean, probably bricked and unless you hit a Kobe or Jordan PMG not making money back, right?

Is this 97-98 and if so which set or 98-99?

Neither card from 97-98 is #82.

I actually looked it up and it’s from the 1998-99 metal set.

Pic of the card????????

Didn't think to snap a pic of the pull of a lifetime before sending it off. Makes sense

Don't worry. I was with op when he pulled it. We were both shocked. Proof:

I see you also noticed some of the surface imperfections. Do you think they'll hurt the grade?

that's actually from the Photoshop of the era. It's not considered an imperfection because all the cards had it.There is however the Reebock variation to watch for. Could hold considerable more value than three fiddy. Be nice if OP or whoever had thought to include back.

I’m sure poke still has a shot of the back too…

I know a couple clccters who will pay big bucks for the no-foil variation and it looks like yours has that going too.... One other known to exist.

But good luck getting it PSA certified as such, even though there was no back door issue with this particular set. CSG is your best bet and even they reserve it for historically important cards.
