They graded an uncut 2006 Allen Iverson Jambalaya card as the regular version:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/325591613988
And they gave it a PSA 10 grade -- double good job.
And it's a pop of 2, meaning they just undercut the owner of the only true PSA 10 -- triple good job.
And the owner of the one true PSA 10 is in fact me -- quadruple good job.

I know for me, that's been in the hobby for decades, it gets harder as time goes on for non-serial numbered parallels of any 90s or modern set. Pacific Gold/Platinum foil parallels from the 90s and even today's blaster box exclusives gets confusing.

PSA does stuff like this ALL the time (giving grades to backdoored, bankruptcy, sheet cut, or otherwise unfinished cards) but I’m not sure if anything tops grading an uncut Jambalaya.

They did decide to grade the rest of star recently actually. Except the ones on the type 2 sheet, best of the best, and magic set I think. Apparently their expertise doesn’t reach the level of telling the difference in an original 85-86 vs a type 2. You can literally do it on a computer in 5 seconds. Much easier in person. Easier still when you have one of each to compare.

The seller also has an uncut Julius Erving 2006 Jambalaya PSA 9 for sale.
These cards really shouldn't pass eBay authentication, but I'm sure they would considering PSA does the authenticating.

A ton of people don't give raw cards the time of day (unless they're seeking to do the raw to PSA flip n dip).I just got a bunch of aesthetically best MJ cards raw for a few bucks each, it's about the aesthetics ffs. I did splurge a little for the 95 Flair MJ in a slab, it seemed worth the crisp presentation in that instance. Maybe I'll upgrade to slabbed for a few of the others at the right price. Lesson: do it only if it helps the presentation or if you do mind shelling out over $X for ungraded which I do mind.

I do own a few PSA slabs, both for PC and future flip cards.
However, when it comes to PC cards, I prefer BGS because the slab is better (stronger) and they're a fraction of the cost for the same card in the same condition.
I own one SGC slab. They're not bad either but I prefer one of the two (BGS/PSA) brand names.
CSG doesn't seem bad (for TCG) but HGA/TGA are junk grading companies as many already understand.
They need someone in research but at least it's clear as day that it's not the pack pulled one. Just send him a message and the cert number will get pulled.
Everyone in their Research and ID department is useless. Id list names but Im not even sure they work there anymore.:coffee:

I believe there were a bunch of sheet cut 2006 Jambalaya cards sold through Probstein last year, including the Iverson. Someone had posted about the Tim Duncan card. It was controversial because Probstein didn't mention they were sheet cut in the listings. Even still, I think the cards successfully passed eBay authentication, which shouldn't happen because the listing photos didn't match the descriptions.

The bigger issue for me is eBay Authentication passing blatantly sheet cut cards that weren't described as such in the listing.
PSA making mistakes, or being inept -- or even corrupt -- is to be expected, considering how many cards they reportedly grade and their sordid history.

Something that is wrong doesn't have to be an actual problem. It's a relatively minor issue that doesn't have a significant impact in the grand scheme of things. The main issue is PSA's incompetence and corruption -- those are systemic issues that will continue to erode consumer confidence in their slabs over time.

If your focus was highlighting PSA's incompetence and corruption, allowing them the opportunity to correct/ignore the issue, only adds to your goal.
Assuming the cards are deactivated/recalled, PSA still looks incompetent and a potentially uninformed buyer, avoids the headache of dealing with the eBay authenticity program or PSA "guarentee".
The corruption would be highlighted, should PSA choose to ignore (often the case) the documented evidence, presented to them for review.

I don't want someone to buy this card thinking it's authenticate, so I guess it would be a good thing if it gets recalled. Will Nat Turner actually do anything, is the question.
PSA provides slab authentication services for eBay. They only verify that slabs are authentic and not tampered with. Cards are not authenticated by them. They'll surely pass this card if it ends up going through the authentication program.

I cared enough to post about it and let the forum know. I didn't care enough to contact PSA about it. It's a drop in the bucket in terms of how many cards they improperly grade.
But now I guess I do care if someone buys it thinking it's authentic. So my mistake.
