I see alot of 2022 Mosaic boxes being discounted, all things being equal, I know that ripping wax is a losing bet but just curious if anyone has any insight into what is the best bang for the money among the different products and which gives you the best shot at hitting a home run.

FOTL: $550...150 cards (swirls/autos)
Hobby: $355...150 cards (black/golds/autos)
No Huddle: $250...144 cards (black/golds/autos)
Choice: $280...8 cards (black/golds, peacocks/autos)

How do you define value and hitting a home run?

Best relative ROI?
Easiest to resell?
Attractive design?
Good checklist?
Good number of parallels/inserts/memorabilia/autographs?

Lots of people (myself included) have been happy with the Topps college product. Box prices have risen a bit since release but still reasonable. For me Bowman U Chrome was the best value because for $125 I could pull 2 autograph cards from a checklist of a mere 100, multiple refractors, multiple inserts, and able to complete the set relatively easy.

Plenty of people were able to do well reselling singles and there's an anticipation of a bump during the draft as people look to get fill out their team PCs with newly drafted guys.

Mosaic is a $100 product max. Put you money into your kids college fund instead of throwing it away on wax…

Or just buy singles :)

Retail wise, I have had some good luck with Mosaic. I hit like 2 or 3 Honeycombs and 2 or 3 Genesis.

Also pulled 2 downtowns out of 2021 Optic.

I made the decision to stop ripping hobby products of Panini, and will only rip retail or if it's hobby, I will rip WIld Card or Leaf, you have a much better chance of recouping your $$$ with those products

First question last box, last question first box

Choice is good value, I like No Huddle too but that comes down to preference. FOTL obv has the best shot at a home run since you are guaranteed two cards /11, could be bums but you asked about a shot and that gives you a better one than those other boxes. It's really hard to gauge value though of unopened boxes, most people on here rate a product on whether or not they got a big hit lol like you could hit a numbered Purdy in Choice and think its the best product ever, or strike out and grab five blasters and hit a Razzle Dazzle and honeycomb so it's difficult but thats my opinion based on those options

Depends on the year and the sport, really. Was the rookie class strong? Did Panini change the volume? For example, 2020 Optic football was hot but 2021 Optic football was over produced.

All of them. Slam dunk, home run, empty netters. All of them. Can’t lose.

Best chance to hit a home run? Become a big name breaker like the Back Door Takers who are given loaded boxes to open up and act like morons on their channel.

If you want to rip 2022 products, I would wait. I feel like box prices will come down through summer and early fall as 2023 product comes out.

What would be the best product out of those ROI if you are looking for a rookie auto or RPA this year?

I see a few folks in this thread struggle with reading comprehension.

OP specifically mentions 2022 Mosaic product in the Football forum section...

There are no RPAs in Mosaic.

Yeah, and I gave my opinion that he should save his money or spend it on 2020 Optic if he wants to have a better chance at hitting a winner. lol
