It doesn't look like this item has been authenticated. What are you trying to say?

I would hope that it would fail their authenticity check.

Nothing, it's just funny seeing it on the pages of knock-offs.
You'd think they would have a system in place to make sure it wouldn't happen - there's a lot of idiots out there that a: buy knockoffs and b: will see "ebay authenticity guarantee" and assume it's legit.

The system is in place. "eBay Authenticity Guarantee" means that it qualifies for the authentication process, not that it has already been authenticated. This shows up on any card priced at $250 or above. In theory this card will fail the authenticity check and be sent back to the seller and the buyer will be refunded.

Exactly, what are they supposed to do "pre-authenticate" cards that are "clearly fake"? lol not only would that kind of render the actual authentication process useless but also have checklists at their disposal to immediately say "Oh well Jordan never had a 2020 Kaboom, flag". Now if they pull a BBCE and authenticate it after it is sent, then that would be thread worthy.
7 people are watching so maybe it isn't as "obviously fake" as you think as well, which actually adds to Ebay's credibility as they will save naive buyers when it does go to authentication

It's clear you just don't understand how the Authentication process works. It's ok to admit that.
