After being inspired by seeing caveman / nature boy Luck recently garnering interest from the Washington Red---uhhh Commanders, and seeing some GOAT talk in the basketball side of the site, I thought about posing this question:

If you transplanted Andrew Luck throughout space and time onto the KC Chiefs roster in the 2018 season, does he end up winning a SB ring by the end of 2023? Does he end up winning 2? More?

I'd like to add more QBs here too: DeShaun Watson, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Kirk Cousins.

As preface that now isn't one - this is not a knock on Mahomes at all. I could have used the Patriots as an example instead. But anyone intelligent knows situation is very important for a QB and Reid is one of the better/best offensive minds in NFL history, the Chiefs had a good situation to go to. Luck in IND had a pretty mediocre situation and at times a horrible OL.

My personal pick: Luck wins at least 1 SB from 2018-2023 with the Chiefs, probably just 1 though. Cousins does not (lol)

They would all have 3 rings.

That 2019 Chiefs team was really good at all three phases of the game; that's one that stands out where another top tier QB probably gets them there. Mahomes, by his standards, was not especially remarkable during the regular season (65.9% completion, 26:5 TD:INT, 4k yards while battling an injury), but he was dominant in the playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl.

I think the 2022 version of Allen, Burrow, and maybe Luck could've taken home a trophy in 2019, but that's the only scenario I see as likely.

Luck retired at the worst time. I feel like as soon as he retired the Colts put together one of the best O-Lines in the league.

Its really unfortunate the Colts couldn't help him out sooner.
