Just wanted to vent/inform.
I don't accept returns unless I screwed up.
Case 1- Sold a 1976 Jaws poster. Jaws was released in 1975 and poster was made in 1976 so I listed as reproduction. Buyer claimed they did not read description and filed a claim as not as described (while it was still in transit) and ebay forced me to accept the return by sending him a label.
Case 2- Sold a Arol Vera Sapphire /15 with no mention of condition. Just used. Buyer adopt-dont-shop claimed it has a print line and expected it to be mint. ebay decided the case in their favor even after I called and his messages state he assumed it was mint and expected it to be.
Just got of the phone with ebay and they said the good news in in both cases is I can relist for free and make a complaint against buyers for abusing the system. Yeah thanks...

If you sell on Ebay you accept returns regardless of what you state. On case one I would have called immediatly and point out the item has not even been delievered yet they should have closed that one. Have had them do it before.

Number 1 is a bad buyer.
Number 2 at the risk of reopening a never ending debate between buyer and seller, if it actually had a print line that should be disclosed either through the listing description or through the pictures if it wasn’t.

I called as soon as buyer opened case and the guy noted my info and said "don't worry". 2 days later...

I honestly never saw one and he said he could not capture it in a photo. In the beginning he wanted a partial refund and I declined. Oh well..

you messed up by letting them get you off the phone. If they tell you that insist they fix it while on phone in most cases they can fix it while on the phone. Their main job is to get you off the phone as soon as possible.
Alos you did not say reproduction in the title you stated it was original. In the item specifics you also said it was original. Most buyers do not read descriptions and Ebay will say your terms were contradictory. You need to put all or most details in the title photo or specifics. if I need more I put READ or something in the title.

Yeah I agree with what you are saying. Was not sure hot to handle it as it is a original 1976 made poster. Decided to put reproduction as the movie was 1975. But it was made in 1976 and different than any other poster made in 1975 so basically it is a original 1976 poster and could of possibly left out reproduction all together.

From the poster I think it is advertising the opening of the ride at Universal studios more than the movie. The ride opened in 76 and is mentioned on the poster. These were likely posted around the park and in Los Angeles in 76.

Unfortunately just about any chrome card made by topps in the past 18 months has a high likelihood of a print line running the length of the card vertically.
It’s bad enough I won’t buy any topps chrome card of any value without flat out asking first if there are any print lines. It’s the hardest thing to see when buying a raw card. You can see centering, you can generally see the corners, but surface and particularly print lines can be really hard to detect through pictures.

I was thinking that but not sure. Thanks for your help. Appreciate it.

Yeah had I saw something I would of mentioned it but I didn't. Unlike the xfractors from years back when I would see a big black line.

This is true. Light scratches are difficult to see as well. The question is, does a print line drop it below NM-MT? If not, then it doesn't need to be disclosed, IMO.

That’s where we disagree. On an ultra modern card if I buy a $20 card with an undisclosed print line I’ll eat it. If I buy a $500 card with an undisclosed print line I’m sending it back.
It takes 30 seconds to look a card over and add to the description that it has a print line that’s hard to see. Maybe not in OP’s case but the majority of the time not disclosing a print line is intentionally leaving it out to improve the odds of selling. It’s something you can’t easily see through pics so should be noted in description imo. Typically it’s for sale because that line made it a grading reject for the owner.

Print lines to me are a big detracting. Often kills eye appeal even if it's still technically nm mt

My biggest issue is there are many many many PSA 10 Gem Mint cards running around out here with huge Print lines, roller lines, and other defects. So if the cards can have print lines and still be considered Gem Mint by a grading company, why does the seller get punished for a subjective opinion?

Pretty much falls back k to credit cards and their policies. They influence many of ebay and ama ons policies

PSA has graded tens of millions of cards so sure there are some gems with print lines. I personally have never had a card gem with the vertical print line from top to bottom I’m talking about.
It just boils down to accurately listing your cards for me. If it has a noticeable print line why would you not note that in the listing or ensure it was visible in your pics?
