Does the over-abundance of Logoman in Panini products cheapen what should be a special parallel? To me absolutely, they are in every set. Every year there is a new chase but it’s the same card just with a different border whether it’s National Treasures or Flawless or Spectra or Immaculate.

Yes. I see them all over instagram. The specialness/wow factor decreases every year

is it different than prizm or color blasts or kabooms or anything else panini released that was once special? (but has been ruined by dilution)
Exquisite logomans will always be the ones to get. Modern logomans not so much.

Ultimate too.

Every single player has a logoman patch on their jersey, they aren’t rare pieces. Like any modern game worn material - the supply is endless with virtually every game.

Yes, sadly the concept has been grossly watered down. Plus the designs on the cards are often poorly executed imo. The triple midget Lebron logoman comes to mind.

The difference today is that Flawless, NT, and Immaculate are getting ripped in heavy volume, and these cards are now flooding the market. And every year of production adds more of them. The allure is gone.

For me its actually the quality of the logoman patch itself..... the late 80's/90's logos which were stitched and some showed use, through the gold 50th anniversary ones through to when Nike took over they went to the flat Plastic Logos which are really bland.
This year has been good seeing the 75th logos put in cards but in my eyes the stitched fabric logos were always the best.

Add in the fact that Panini made NT and Immaculate logomans serial numbered to 3 and 5 for a given year/release thus making them not true 1/1's. It also makes me wonder if these are really game worn by the given player if you take into account the cost to acquire multiple game worn jerseys of the players.

A true 1/1 logoman from NT or Flawless from a HoF player or star rookie will always be valuable. Some players will have to be in the right jersey, Shaq for instance I guess two jerseys.

I think UD releasing a ton with ones more than 1/1 when they dropped basketball started it all

I think it does water it down. However depends on the player and who you ask. They really became over produced perhaps 2018 onwards.
Kemba walker who I PC for example only has 27 total copies across all brands for his entire 10yrs career. Not exactly over produced. He only has 5 logo autos, and only 3 of the 5 are game used.
They continue to be rarer for some players even during this panini era.
Thanks

8 more days and it would've been a full year since the last post in this thread

Yes, absolutely. Everything is so watered down.
Just like when Autographs were ELITE to pull or game used stuff. Now, everything is autographed or have patches. They're just not as special anymore.

Unfortunately, yes. I remember the Logomen from Exquisite, Ultimate, SP Game Used, and Topps Jersey Edition being THE best cards to get back in the day.

More and more jerseys used during NBA games, meaning more and more logoman cards to be produced :coffee:
There was a time a NBA player was wearing the same jersey for multiple games, now they use at least 2/game

it waters down the panini ones and puts a bump on non-panini imo. they took what was placed on the highest pedestal and over commericalised it by destroying the thing that put it on the pedestal. in short, panini doing panini things....
when i saw logoman /5 etc it was just sighs all around tbh

actually 2009/2010 upper deck sp game used was the first product that de-valued logoman

Oh yeah, I remember when that came out, bought a couple boxes trying and they were maybe the worst product I ever ripped. You are 110% correct.
