While this is very true, Wemby does have a base card this time, which also means parallels.
Also boxes of this are cheaper than the first 2 products. I got an 8 box case for $775, which works out to be $96.88 a box.

1) Box price is cheaper
2) Wembanyama has base & parallels for 1st time
3) Hobby exclusive, so lower print run for each base
4) Dual & Triple autos along with printing plate autos that add some value
5) There is a chance that Wembanyama autos could be live in this product (maybe wishful thinking)
6) Auto checklist is a little smaller
7) Easier to make Refractor set

There are however several negatives:
1) Not as collected as Chrome
2) Now the 3rd product with similar checklist in a short amount of time
3) Fewer cards per box compared to Chrome
4) Won't have any 1st card labels
5) Harder to make insert sets

There are obviously other negatives, but I am doing more of a comparison to Chrome.

I would say it helps, they are much more valuable than many names, at least in the short term.

Another thing we don't now for sure yet but is possible, is the Chrome Wemby autos may be on card, and these may be stickers. Being live would be a big deal though, especially if the Chrome redemptions don't start shipping in the next week or two.

For chrome u topps couldn’t get wemby a base non auto. For this they didn’t put him in the insert sets.

I think it's a calculated slow roll by Topps. They have done this for year with Star Wars cards. They add a new bit signer ever 6 months, rather than all at once, so we as consumers keep buying. Sure the initial set would be massive, but this way, all sets will sell well. I guess I can't completely blame them.

Not sure if accurate but it appears based on the checklist that wemby will also have base numbered cards (which would be the first for any of the Bowman products - only been for autos so far). The first Cavinder twin cards are also interesting (saw they may become WWE stars following college)

The checklist counts & parallels matchup almost exactly with the football product.
The football product had about 68,795 boxes or 8,599 cases made.
This is a hobby exclusive unlike the Chrome product, so the base cards will have a print run of about 22,490.
You will get about 262 base cards per case, so you will hopefully be able to make 2 complete sets or get 2 or 3 Wemby base cards.
You will get 96 refractors in a case, so you will nearly make the set, meaning almost all cases will have a Wemby Refractor. The print run of refractors will be around 8,255.
You will get about 24 base parallels per case, so about 1 in 4 cases will have a speckle refractor or better of Wemby.
If Wemby has the same number of autos as everyone else (this is a big if), then you have an 18.7% of pulling a Wemby auto per case.

Overall in an average case you can expect to get a total of 4 Wemby cards.
It might just be 3 base & 1 refractor of course.

Insert sets will be difficult to make.
Only the Hardwood Warriors insert set can be made with 1 case.

You will come a few short for the Flashing Lights & Neon Neophytes insert sets,
& you will get less than half the set for the Bowman Masterpieces & Buckets Die-Cut insert sets.

You have to look at the cost of this product compared to the box value. For about $100 a box, this is pretty good product IMO.

I did two cases of Chrome U, which I think should be alot more desirable. Frankly, some of the Autos and low numbered parallels sales are a joke.

You will really have to hit a good Wemby to recoup cost of these at $100 a box.

I just ripped my first 8 box case. Wemby refractor and 3 bases. 16 numbered bases, 6 numbered autos out of 16 autos. Not too bad

I usually piece everything out and sell it on eBay. It's a lot of work but even without the Wemby auto I'm pretty sure I would've come close to making my money back. Fun rip for sure!

50% of boxes have some kind of Victor Wembanyama card in them on average, obviously most are the base, but those are currently selling really well. There are only just over 21,000 base cards of each athlete, which really in the card world is not that many for a base card.

My case wasn't as great, but I was still really happy with mine.
I hit the Caitlin Clark base auto that I was after!
It was the 2nd to last box & the box also had a Wemby base & refractor in it as well, so easily the best box.

I got a total of 3 base Wemby's & the other autos of note were a Anthony Black Neon Neophytes Auto /99 & Jared McCain Green Auto 1/99.

I was able to make 2 base sets & made a complete Hardwood Warriors insert set
I only had to spend about $20 to finish the refractor set & Flashing Lights insert set.

When you consider that people that barely collect cards will want one of his cards & compare it to other popular cards like Mike Trout's Topps rookie that has a print run of 10x or more than this card, plus he doesn't have many cards at this point, it's easy to see why this card sells for some much.

I sold my Wemby base cards as fast as I could, I can't imagine his base pre-NBA cards will maintain their value. There are just so many and who knows how many base Wemby pre-rookie/rookie cards will exist by this time next year.

I don't think people realize that 21,000 is a very low number for a base card.
If he had a normal base card in Bowman Chrome, it would of had a print run of over 100K!

This is a hobby exclusive product where a case is only 8 boxes & only 12 packs per box.

I realize a Prizm rookie in his SA uniform will be much more desirable, but the print run on those will be like 10x what this card is.

The value will drop once other cards are out, but not as much as some of you think.
Also the value could rise down the road if he lives up to expectations.

Bought a case at the LCS for $115 per box. Second box and hit a Wemby speckle #/25 auto. Only other Wemby in the case was a base. Have a second case on the way but probably going to hold or sell. Thought I would get a few base and refractor but worked out anyway.
