I’m usually always in alignment with you, but would disagree here. I think there is a definite path to that happening.

If the pirates and nats pass on skenes I could see it happening.

It’s not likely, but I can absolutely see it happening. Here is 1 example:

1. Pirates take Clark and sign him under slot
2. Nats take Crews
3. Tigers take Langford
4. Rangers talk Walker Jenkins (have gone college arm the last 2 picks, both top 3)

With the pirates history of going under slot with Henry Davis, I could see them doing it again with Clark.

I’m starting to think Skenes may be the best prospect in this class. And I really like the other 4 - Skenes is just that good.

Of the top 5 ranked draft prospects, Clark's stock is tanking the most. Going under slot for a HS kid over clearly more highly regarded college guys is nearly unprecedented.
In the latest mock on The Athletic, it said if none of the top 3 college guys are available for the Twins, they might select Teel or Jacob Gonzalez.
