Not minimizing your subtext, but some of those 55 were NOT young men. Hugh McElhenny died at 93.

yes but 50 of those 55 players had their football careers end before the 1990's started. Of the 3 that played in the 2000's they barely had an impact totaling 64 tackles in 32 games, 54 tackles in 72 games and 9 tackles in 13 games. Clark was far more established with 520 tackles and 46 sacks in 172 games
