Doesn't look to be too dissimilar from the past (at this point). As I recall last year, the sets added a few inserts of rookies who had SP's in S2. Not sure if that applies to anyone this time around.

yeah I don't expect anything crazy different. Walmart will likely have the chance at parallel versions like the last few years. Target will probably have a chrome RC 5 pk like years past. And I can see them doing the 1/1 set chase also.

Factory sets pretty much sell themselves they don't need a whole lot of gimmicky stuff.

I wouldn't overpay for the AS set. If it's like past years they will eventually show up at retail just have to be patient.

My Walmart still has 2021 and 2022 Topps sets and every single one still have the wrappers on them. That's how interested people are even with JRod Rc's. These things would fly off the shelves at $40 but $50-$60 and nobody wants to touch them.

Well, I have seen several cards listed on ebay that have the ASG stamp. So either it is random 5 from the total set or the entire set has the logo.

The sell sheets for the retail sets show a relic card (plus the usual 5 card rookie pack) but there is no mention of what it is on the sheet. I'm sure it's crap but does anyone know what it is? I'd post a link but it's on "one of those" sites. It can be found rather easily.

Appears to say "player-worn memorabilia" around the relic. In the past it's been one of the Target exclusive SKUs that had a relic card. I'd be quite surprised if they put them in all the retail versions this year (that's a huge, huge increase in the number of relics they'd need - maybe if they were just 'authentic,' but since these are player-worn, that just seems like too much). I think it's more likely they just screwed up and put the photo on the generic retail sell-sheet when it should have gone on a Target-exclusive one.

Concur, I don’t think there is any way that relics are in the regular retail sets.

Interesting. Fanatics also sold the TC monster boxes. Maybe WM exclusives are gone. No Topps Gallery. So maybe no Bowman Chrome Megas anymore either.

Yea. I've gotten into those the last couple years but this year I'm tapping out. Instead I'm going with the sets with a chrome rookie card or the set with either a rookie relic/auto'd relic. Target has both.:)!

That was the case last year (Witt, JRod, Tork), but not 'the last few' years. 2021 had no extras. 2020 had no extras. 2019 had one extra (Guerrero Jr.). 2018 had two extras (Torres and Acuna).

The theme across all those cards is that the players did not have base cards in S1 or S2 - but they did have a short print in S2. Nobody this year fits that description.

Just opened my set from Target, 5 Rookie Variations are at the top in clear package, Chrome card is the first one from left to right, no cushion on the edges. For the Chrome I wanted Corbin the most and he is who I got.
