Was their an eBay program that was starting, think I remember reading about it over a year ago, where if a buyer sends you an offer on an item and you accept, it automatically charges their method of payment?
Not sure if this was cancelled or still being slowly rolled out, but it would be nice as I continuously get offers that I accept that take days to pay or don't get paid at all.
Thanks.

I am not sure if it's only certain categories or what but I get both. I get some offers that say buyer will be charged automatically and others dont

If you go to the Block Bidders/Buyer Management shortcut, there should be a Buyer Payment Requirements header at the bottom of the page where you can check off "Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer."
The additional info for this checkbox does state, "Removing this requirement may lead to more unpaid items. Setting will apply to future offers. Currently, this impacts only a select group of buyers."

I'm curious what this "select group of buyers" qualifications are.
As a buyer, sometimes I'm required to select and other times I'm not. I've never had an NPB, paid late, or anything negative I can recall, so I would think I'd be a reliable buyer.

interesting...I tried making an offer and for the first time, it asked me to provide a payment source. I'm able to make offers on other items, so it;s weird

Ok thanks I'll check into that.
I am also curious what buyers are considered a select group. IMO you shouldn't be able to send offers if you don't have an automatic payment setup.

I'm honestly not sure what qualifies buyers as the "select group."
As others have mentioned, there have been a few instances where I've had to verify payment information up front since eBay rolled this out, but the majority of the time I make offers I don't have to provide payment information.
Like all eBay roll outs, it seems like they're rolling this out slowly.

Hate the automated payment on offers when it comes to combined shipping for multiple items. Should be a 5-10 minute timer on it for if there's additional items to pay at once to not have to keep getting hit on transaction fees and then refunding extra shipping
