Relatively smartest that is, i hear sports clectbles are not such great investments aside from the vintage Grailz.
like are (is?) there data like some index showing return of hyped prospects vis a vis established superstars? Box-breaks vs. buying graded? We need more scientific ways to ensure fools and their money are parted
(we can set aside high vs low IQ or native ability, we're talking judgment here)

You're looking for very specific data here that probably doesn't exist. It's a great idea though for someone looking to create an app.

Unless I’m missing something, is this not just a matter of doing the legwork of comparing historical sales data of certain cards vs. other certain cards?
Am I not high enough to grasp this question?
What is the strain this time GOAT?

Definitely not the Semper Augustus.
"In 1633, one Semper Augustus was said to have sold for 5,500 guilders, and in 1637, just before the crash, a price of 10,000 guilders was asked—an exorbitant amount that would have purchased a grand house on the most fashionable canal in Amsterdam, or clothed and fed an entire Dutch family for half a lifetime."

Goat would’ve just smoked any Semper that came into his possession.

Term of the Day:
"SEMPER AUGUSTUS"
Translated from Latin for “always majestic”. The Semper Augustus was the most rare and valuable of the tulips during the Tulipomania in 1630’s Holland.
