Supposedly, this is the address for NPN information for topps. I go there when my Star Wars sapphire box comes in and I get “just missed!”

It was nice having the NPN and odds on the boxes. Now I got neither.

The end of NPNs? I guess it's time, considering how it seems like they've barely been sending anything out anyway the last 4-5 years.

Unless something has changed, they need to offer NPN to avoid lottery laws. Maybe just a system glitch currently?

Hmm. I would say that maybe the removal of the odds and the down NPN page were tied together and Topps/Fanatics could make the argument that there's no sweepstakes element involved, but Panini has kept up with the NPN print on its packs w/o ever listing odds of anything.

I also wonder how any NPN requirement as attached to packs differs from the possibility of getting serial-numbered Topps Now cards directly from the website, for instance? It's not as if you can enter a NPN drawing for those.

Topps now avoids it as you get the base card no matter what.

The sapphire box directs me to the website. Which never was there before n

Is that true? I've ordered a few and once got a parallel but didn't get the base.

As of mid 2022, the colors are in addition to the base.

Never heard of NPN with boxes. I assume it is "No Purchase" necessary.

Does that mean technically someone could submit there info and receive literally any card in the set?

Yes. The insert cards with odds. You in theory could spend $1 on two stamps and have a chance at any insert, even 1/1 superfractors.

I used to do it all the time in Middle/High School (~20 years ago) and got some really cool free cards (even an auto when they were a rare hit); not sure if they have been like that since but they used to be worth the time and the stamp

I usually got something each time I entered back in the day (mostly through the addresses on flagship jumbos) but generally nothing more than some golds. My best NPN hit was actually the last one I've gotten so far, a Miggy refractor out of 2020 Finest Flashbacks. I've submitted maybe 8-10 more Topps requests since then, again mostly from flagship jumbos, and gotten nothing from them. I think I'm 3-for-4 in Panini NPNs the last few years.

Back around 2000-2010 they were awesome. Best npn I got was a 2004 Topps Retired Sig Auto Refractor /25 of Whitey Ford that I sold for a measly $80. I should have kept it, it looked awesome. Got tons of other cheap parallels/jerseys around that time frame.

Almost forgot, got this as an NPN, too. Lol.

I never did their sport NPNs, as I was (am) more of a non-sports collector, but Topps was definitely sending out some choice material in the 2000's.

I got a Frank Oz as Yoda autograph from the Star Wars Attack of The Clone Widevision set and several very nice 1/1 sketches from a Star Wars Galaxy set.

I used to send them out in the early 2,000’s when I first moved to Mississippi out of boredom. I used to get things back at a decent clip the best I ever got was a Topps gallery Albert Pujols relic but I have gotten a couple of autographs just nobody I would remember. I haven’t sent an npn in quite some time as I hit such a dry spell that it became not worth it.
