I'm fairly confident the power drop was an approach thing. It's clear the organization wanted him to take some walks and cut the K-rate a tad. Given he has 5 straight multi-hit games (with 4 walks in those games as well), he's proven he can wait for his pitch...crushing mistakes yet taking walks when not given something to drive. The raw power is immense, it will return.
