Does anyone know if I can withdraw my EBay payments to a PayPal debit card? I am moving soon and my bank has no branches in my new area so I will be closing my bank account.

Even if you can you should find a new bank ASAP....leaving a balance in your PayPal account, even in a debit card, can be a huge mistake.

Get a Discover or Ally bank account. Both are online only and waive atm fees. They have cash back debit cards. I use Discover for my eBay and PayPal account so it never touches my actual checking account should something go wrong.

I second this. My Discover account has been awesome. And if you keep money flowing through, that cash back is a nice perk.

That said, I don't know why you wouldn't be able to link to your Paypal debit card if you are just needing something immediate.

I don't know why you could not but I would not do it. Keeping money in Paypal is high risk. I would keep the currnt account open and use the debit card if you need cash go to like almart and buy a pack of gum or somthing and get cashback its cheaper than bank fees can be. Then once you get a new one then change it.

I just wanted to update this thread, in case anyone wants to do this. Ebay is requiring me to upload a bank statement from PayPal and Im not sure this is doable. I will be calling PayPal to see if this is possible.

What is the problem with PayPal? I have an account there, but the sum is not that big.
I've never faced any problems. It's not that I know a lot about payment or money transfer systems, but I still do it from time to time, so I think that it is important to know such information, and that's why I decided to find out more. After reading this thread, I know more about PayPal, and I also came across this post https://dashdevs.com/blog/cross-border-payments-and-money-exchange/ (https://dashdevs.com/blog/cross-border-payments-and-money-exchange/) which provided me with a lot of information about that processes, how it can be done and so on. Knowing such info is beneficial if you have a business, and I think for general knowledge is useful too, because if there is a need to do it, you will already know how.

You want the long or short list? Basically tge biggest reason is paypal can freeze your account for breaking their rules and any money you have in there is theirs. Buried in the tos it says if you are suspended for specific reasons then tgey have a right to "fine" you.

Paypal also screwed me out of $100 when I got hacked and basically my bank said that Paypal told them the transaction was authorized. (The hacker scheduled two DAILY recurring payments of $99 each for 99 days.)
