Griffey Jr. Shill Bids 1/1 Dynasty Patch Auto ??

The card "sold" on August 27th for $4,552 to a bidder with (4) feedback. Then magically it was relisted last week and "sold" tonight for $4,700 to a bidder with (4) feedback.

Is there any other theory here other than shill bidding?

The seller is a consignor with 300K feedback, so it would seem more likely that it's the card owner doing it rather than the seller.

Hard to proved, but awful suspicious.

Forgot I could click on the bidders history. Yes indeed, same guy. 23% of his bids to this seller. Such BS.

Yep shilling seems rampant on eBay….especially with consignment listings. It’s a joke.

Encountered a similar situation not long ago. Same item relisted at auction from consignor- not just once but multiple times. Could see the winning bidder was the same bidder based on bid history. No one cared or did anything- not eBay, not the consignor….nothing. Selling on consignment is too much a conflict of interest and imo eBay should make changes to consignment auctions, but it’ll never happen im sure.

Unfortunately I end up avoiding most consignment auctions because of this.
