All - I've been struggling to find a great solution for a card display. I find the picture frame versions to wind up looking tacky. Does anyone have a uv protected display case with lighting solution that they like? Either a tower where I could add acrylic tiers or a tall cabinet. I found collectors cabinets as a high end option but only available in the UK.
I'm looking to showcase about 50 cards total with mid-high end value and place the display in my home office. My kids are starting to enjoy and I find myself wanting to have them out to appreciate rather than in a pelican in the closet.
Any help would be much appreciated! Pictures appreciated for inspiration!

Not trying to be a downer but I’d recommend not displaying your cards. If you value your mid/high end cards long term value then don’t. Not only will lighting destroy autos it also wreaks havoc on print color/quality, regardless of UV protected glass and cases. Time will eventually win out.

I put 3 up a couple years ago but have since swapped out most of the cards shown. I’ve gone through a bunch of different configurations. The ones that fit slabs were all over eBay at the time, I’m assuming they still are. I forget if they were 100 or 150 a piece.
If you run across the wider one for raw cards, just keep in mind they won’t hold top loaders properly unless they’re secured.
I’m in the middle of a move right now and undecided on putting them all back up. I want to keep at least one somewhere.

Unless you are displaying your cards in direct sunlight they will be OK. Modern lighting typically emits little to no UVs.

If you are keeping them as investment that makes sense. Keep it as pristine as possible. But man sucks to have beautiful high end cards and not be able to look at them.

Thanks for the perspectives. I do have patch autos, so there is concern on aging. I thought perhaps it would be safe if I placed the display out of direct sunlight and then added museum glass to protect, but seems like differing opinions. Would love to see more examples if folks have them!

I look at my cards and will show friends that would appreciate them. If I kept them displayed however, over time, they would fade. Maybe not 1 year or even 3 years, but eventually there would be a noticeable fading in print ink or auto ink. You see it all the time with cards at card shows that are never sold.
I mean I get it. Show off the cards a little but for me I want to maintain value, especially if I’m going to pass down these to my children or sell them eventually. And for those people with graded card displays, that’s the whole point of grading them in the first place. So don’t say now it’s for some other reason just to justify displaying your cards, or else you would just buy the cheapest version of the cards and never grade it and just display it.

Ampleer Toploader Binder, 4... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5R9QFWK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Not a display case but I just bought this toploader binder on Amazon this week that will hold 130 point toploaders for patch cards or thick cards like exquisite. You can only do 4 cards on a page and can’t use both sides of the page but it still holds a lot of cards. I’ve always had trouble storing or looking at RPAs or nice exquisite/national treasures/flawless autos or base.

Great for patch cards or thick base and autos from exquisite/national treasures/flawless etc. you can only use one side of each page but it will still hold close to 100 thick cards in top loaders. Better than keeping them in a box.
