Before anyone questions: Yes I was buying his cards during the offseason, yes I intend to sell them at some point this season and make more pesos than I spent on them.

Jalen quietly taking a big leap this season. Looks really confident shooting the ball, good ball handler, playing good defense, rebounding well. Looked really solid in the starting lineup yesterday.

I thought he looked really good to close out last season in the limited minutes he got and he put in the work this summer.

Here is my tiny Jalen stash. I'll keep adding while the hype builds before the box score watchers catch on.

I wish I had bought some in the offseason. I think there were a few more people in the JJ bandwagon.

Hawks are not deep in the wings, I can see him becoming the starter and 3rd option by January.

Hope you make some money - it's so tough w/ Rookies from last couple years cause supply is just so great. I've picked up some low end Haliburton recently just cause I was shocked how cheap they are ... Talking base rookies less than $1 per. I like Haliburton but hey if he's in the MVP race maybe they'll be like $5 per then.

Have you picked up any of his Hyper Prizms from the factory set? They are kind of gimmicky but you can barely tell they are Hypers. I pulled the Orange and think about getting the red one but it's hard to find comps on those ones.

I don’t have any hypers. Are they the same hypers design like they used to be in previous years? I’ve got some silver waves and stuff but no hyper.

Well it looks like I'm about done buying his cards, maybe until the offseason.

Even with virtually no hype at all, his stuff has doubled and tripled since November and 10x+ since the offseason. Can't justify buying anymore right now.

Jalen getting the 5 year $150M extension today (https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/41930446/hawks-jalen-johnson-agree-5-year-150m-extension). Good for him. Obviously the Hawks like this guy and intend to build around him and Trae.

I expect him to take another leap this seasonand potentially sniff the all-star game.

Sadly I have not added anything to the collection this off-season. I focused on other guys and even unloaded some of my Jalen stuff. Probably won't buy any more from here, will just take profits and enjoy him as a player.

31/18/14/7 is a pretty insane stat line.

Jalen looks in line to be an all star this year. Near 21/10 on 58% from the field. Pretty nice start to the season.

YouÂ’ll never make money on lottery picks, especially at the very top of the draft. Mid to late 20s into the early 2nd is the sweet spot. You buy after year 2 in the offseason and watch them pop

I don’t disagree with this but I don’t think about players in terms of ceiling because it’s impossible to predict. That’s mostly based on their team and developmental situation and their internal drive.

Please do. Maybe it’ll humble Trae a bit too so he’s not a complete defenseless stat padding chuck artist at his next stop.

At this point every game Trae plays is the hawks willing to let him take away from the team’s potential.
