So I’ve been trying to research this and can’t find much, forgive me. I have mostly been in and out of the hobby aspect of basketball for a better part of the last couple of years.
But I read that Wemby and a lot of others will not have Panini autographs this season. So are there any other companies with official nba license that will be featuring their autograph cards this year? Or will officially licensed nba autos not come for these guys until the fanatics takeover?
Thanks for any help. Just trying to wrap my head around this.
Also, will Ausar Thompson’s autograph be featured in panini products? I think I saw him on the Hoops advertisement so I’m assuming yes?

Thompson twins are Panini Exclusive. Guys like Wemby, Scoot etc won't have NBA licensed autos in products until Fanatics officially takes over

Interesting. So like, I see that wemby has autos in some of the non licensed stuff. Do we think these hold more value than his first year fanatics autos? Or will his first fanatics autos be valued more in the way that the 86 Fleer Rookies hold more value than earlier issued cards for those players?
I’m not buying either way FYI, this is just interesting to me.
Good to know about Thompsons though. I for sure plan on picking up some of Ausar stuff.

The non licensed autos of Wembys are fanatics autos they just don't have the NBA License yet. I'm not sure...it's a unique situation if Wemby ends up being a generational superstar I do think the Bowman Chrome autos will hold value since at least he's in his professional jersey from his French team and it's on card. Will also have to see if Fanatics/Topps churns out more Wemby autos throughout the year

i still kinda like the topps now autographed cards…i know they’re not in a spurs uniform but i do like the fact that the pic from an official nba event. weird detail, i know, but i guess that’s as “official” an nba pic as was possible at that point in time
