Anyone shipped cards to Ebay's authenticity guarantee center lately in CA or anywhere near LA area via USPS and experienced delays? I sold a expensive Kobe card and tracking hasn't updated it in 5 days (last update was Anaheim distribution center). Now just says in transit, arriving late!!!

Yes, I shipped one on 12/29 Priority mail shows "Arrived at hub" yesterday at 2:06pm and is showing that the item is being inspected.

Wow I shipped mine before you. Where'd you ship it from? Did it go through Anaheim distribution center?

So I just called USPS (the main number) and talked to a rep about my package. As soon as I gave the shipping address the rep asked is it a sportscard? They basically know its a valuable sportscard inside and that address is for Ebay Authentication. How is that not a risk for cards to get stolen???

I wouldn't worry too much about it honestly. I had the same issue in mid-December for a PSA order and when I had opened a case since tracking was not updating at all, the person I spoke to knew it was an order for PSA just based on address destination as they see a lot of items shipped to that address. I would consider that to be the same thing for authentication as well. My tracking finally got updated as they were able to locate and it made it to PSA.

Thanks!!! Thats re-assuring. How long after you called were they able to track it down?

I have a package the same status as yours when it comes to tracking but Ebay vault already shows they got it delivered and it is under review. But if you look at the tracking still shows in transit. So it could be something where they got the item already but tracking is not updated.

Yep, Sold a handful of stuff a few weeks before Christmas that went through there, tracking said all were at the distribution center for 4-5 days but then suddenly showed delivered and was authenticated the same day.

For insurance cost sending registered mail is cheaper, although it takes a little longer in transit, its always under lock and key, being signed off by each person that touches it.

Ok I'm hoping this is the case

2 Days. Someone actually called me back and left a voicemail and then sent me an email showing the tracking had updated. No real reason given other than they were able to track it down.

Thanks I called this morning and they opened a case, hopefully in 2 days it'll be updated.

That has been my experience as well. Usually once you nudge USPS they update within a couple or three days. Good luck!

Update: yea looks like they delivered it to Ebays Authentication center without bothering to scan it. This morning I got a call from USPS saying the package seems to be missing and asked me to open a missing package search request online.(my heart felt like it sank) Not 10 minutes after I filled out the form online I got a message from Ebay saying the card has been Authenticated by them. Looks like Ebay's had it for a few days already. Funny thing is the USPS guy that called this morning said they've checked with Ebay Authentication center this morning and they said they didn't have it.

I bought a card from a popular sports card company on 12/31, and a UPS label was created on 1/2

Still has yet to be scanned or picked up 5 days later.

Was told it shipped, but I'm not believing it for the most part
