Wemby base, Jaquez silver, Ant Gold Shimmer, Wemby Purple Wave.

I think I did well. The Jaquez was well centered, but 3 months from now will be totally irrelevant, and the other 3 weren't, so I won't be grading. $0.99 and let it ride.

I opened 5 blasters. Looks like 2 purple waves per box, and no guarantee of any additional parallels. In addition to the 10 purple waves, I got 2 silvers and 1 numbered (Luka /500). One Wemby base

What low-to-mid-term Panini products aren't printed to the moon?

No one expects regular Prizm valuation from the Prizm Monopoly cards but the singles still (and will continue to) sell for a decent price. Sure, they'll drop in price as more supply becomes available but that's true of any product.

People want to rip product. Licensed basketball products have reached absurd prices. When you're priced out of the better products, you look for alternatives (ideally with good value). At least, Prizm Monopoly offers a "better-than-average" break (at least based on Panini's standards, which is pretty low to begin with) for only $29.99 plus tax.

It's not a gold mine but it's better than the usual Panini retail (and select hobby) garbage. With a smaller checklist, at least you'll have a better chance of recouping more than 25% of your cost (can't say the same of most other Panini products).

Prizm Monopoly singles don't have to sell for regular Prizm prices when the odds of hitting good cards of the former are higher. Yes, Monopoly Prizm singles will continue to downtrend (as will regular Prizm cards as more of it gets ripped). Sure, more of the former will be ripped than the latter because the latter is priced absurdly ($1k for a hobby box lol). Yes, the latter will still have premium values over the former because it's the "real" Prizm line.

But, you have to remember, people want to rip licensed basketball wax. People want that experience, it's not just about hitting big money cards. But people also don't want to just burn $30 per box break either. Prizm Monopoly isn't a homerun product but it's cheap, more fun than its similarly-priced alternatives, and you have a realistic chance of hitting singles that'll actually help you recoup some cost (much better than most Panini alternatives, retail or not). To be fair, you aren't part of the demographic of people who would break this with intent to profit. Burbank would have all 120 cards from your break listed in their eBay store as singles for $1-$3 a piece. Even with an awful break there's ways to recoup. Considering you are trying to move the entire lot in BST, I think this probably was a bad buy for your specific situation to begin with.

The GO Wemby looks nice and graded or not, you made your money back and a lot more and you did not spend 1K for the enjoyment. I like the fact it was not a one and done release. Thr highest selling raw copy of a Wemby was a money blast for $5,100. As many have said low risk with high reward potential.

Based on what I've ripped so far, it seems like the average is:

1 in 3 boxes have a Silver
1 in 3 boxes have a numbered card
1 in 3 boxes don't have an extra hit (just two purples)

Don't know if anyone have seen anything different. Also, I'm assuming there's gonna be another format? Because there will be like hundreds of thousand of boosters if not.

I think maybe you're just the lucky outlier. I only got 7 silvers and 3 numbered out of 25. Honestly it's really weird that Silver is the SP and there's so many of the stupid purples

I'm not so sure unless there is a different format and it's loaded.

There are around 2000 numbered cards per player. That includes the inserts. Even if it's 1 in 6 for numbered cards, we are looking over a million blasters.

I don't think Panini fell behind in production just so they can print millions of Monopoly blasters that are going to be sitting in shelves for a while.

Silvers are not SP. If they hit at the same rate as numbered cards, there will be around 2000 of them. They might be around double that so I'll say around 4000.

Silvers are indeed SP. They are like an unnumbered insert. You will never get them and another insert in the same blaster.

As an adamant hater of Prizm Monopoly it doesn’t feel right that I pulled this. But I’d never actually opened the product so I thought I’d give it a try. Still not the biggest fan but I will say that the photos they used for this are way better than core Prizm.

It’s all gambling, but this is prob one of the biggest boom/bust retail options I can remember.
I've hit only 3 #d cards in 11 blasters, but 1 was the Brandon Miller black/gold to 5.
I sent all 5 of the Wemby base immediately to psa so if 3 of those gem I’ll be pretty happy overall

Nope just kept hitting add to cart before it finally went through..then kept getting errors about having an ongoing transaction in my account and then finally got a weird address message and just gave up..but it did end up going through and showed up in my orders and got the email confirm

Well you can order 5 at a time from the website and repeat the process daily until your floor is covered with Monopoly Prizm wrappers. But maybe the panini ones are different, who knows.

I would never buy the panini variants for the amount they’ll go for, even though I’m 0/21 for SPs or numbered color from regular target versions, I’d still buy those at retail over the others.

I’d take real prizm over both versions obviously!

It's not gonna be just the extra parallel I think. Running a quick math on the release, Panini would have had to print hundred of thousands of boxes based on booster's odds.

It’s not bad, you basically get about 2 numbered cards per 5 blasters from what I’ve been getting. Opened 20 blasters and have gotten 8 parallel or numbered cards.

I can't speak for him but the expectation is that the blasters will have more numbered cards on average.

If numbered cards hit at the same rate as boosters, that means Panini printed over half a million of these total. That seems like an insanely high number given all the problems they've had with releases.

Well, let's put it like this. I bought 2 games and 3 blasters at pre-order. Pulled most the base rookies, pulled a Jaquez silver, pulled a gold ANT to /500, pulled a Wemby base, and pulled a Wemby purple. Put them all up for 7-day auction and profited a grand total of $15.

So, if you're a collector, it's probably hit or miss. If you're someone who sells for fun, stay away.

So I just opened a blaster box where literally every...single...card was miscut! Most, around 10-90 top/bottom, with a few as bad as -5-105!!

On the "plus side" (so to speak) there were no cards of any significance/much value. On the flip side, however, I'm out around 34 bucks! Has anybody had a similar experience where every card was jacked-up? If so, did Panini compensate you/make the situation, "right"....? If I'm not mistaken, Panini employes a...."card for card".....automated replacement module on their site. Quite frankly, I'm not going to sit there and input (24) individual cards which, collectively....have a FMV of around $3.12. But if Panini might, perhaps...."extend goodwill" and say; OUR BAD! We'll send ya' out a comp/replacement box,...well then I'd certainly be inclined to reach out to them.

I just decided to open my case because prices aren’t where I thought they’d be and I figured at worst I could make back close to what I paid for the case with singles. Well, my case was awesome. Probably about as good as it gets. There were 2 free parking in each box so I got 40 total. I got 6 silver with the best being Curry. I only got 4 numbered cards but one was a gold /49 Anthony Black rookie so not terrible. An Embiid SP Handshake Deal. An Austin Reaves SSP Sparkle. And I’ll just show the three biggest cards…

It does seem like a big hit or nothing product but most products in this price range are basically lottery tickets and this one at least has a potentially generational player.

Did you buy these boxes online or in store? If I read the posts correctly a case is six blasters? When I was in store I saw 12 at most in any Target, so I assume the stores put out two cases at a time.

I talked to a few local dealers that carried quantity of the the Target Prizm BKB Monopoly blaster boxes. I asked them how they got so much inventory, did he bribe someone at Target? He laughed and said one of the large distributors offered them in quantity to their customers at $30-$35 each (I had to take an educated guess, he sold 11 for $45 each to another customer and he told me the margin was good not great but that it was an easy flip). At local shows, they go for $45-$50.

The distributor hasn't had a restock since the last Target reload a few weeks ago. Basically this is a long way to say I agree, I think we are at the end or near the end of the supply.

They'll deliver, I have been to two Targets in my area in the last week that are bone dry with everything else, but they had 10+ boxes of Monopoly.

Either people just don't want it or people don't know where to look in their stores for it...

I was able to acquire some #'d Scoot stuff at a show this weekend for nothing. Got some Brandon Miller as well.

There was a lot of interest in Lively but it was all cheap stuff. I sold what I had on him and that was probably just based on the finals.

My buys were CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson, Scoot Henderson, and Brandon Miller. Mostly walk-ups. Next few months will be fun at shows as I think this is going to be the norm for a while longer. Everyone still wants Wemby and they are willing to sell off anyone else to acquire more.
