The autos on these are starting to scare me. Looks like a 10 auto could bring a huge premium.

The redemption auto is still up for auction at $800+ so who knows where the max price range will be. Still, I dont know why people are auctioning the card up without it being authenticated in a sealed case. Cause i learned my lesson on mine aflac auto. The card is over 1k and buyer can just damage the card and open a claim during remorse or if card does not meet his graded expectation. We all know ebay favor the buyers. So good luck to all those who gets on the band wagon early.

I think everyone knew approx how much the harper autos would bring. Usually the first batch of anything is priced high as everyone is scraming to get their hands on one with a very limited supply. As these autos start getting listed in droves the prices will drop.

Yeah. Perhaps...good thing is, he's not the only guy in the set!
Is harper worth all this hype??? He's young so that helps...

It's going to be interesting to see when these cards come back from grading what BGS give them on the auto grade, they are god awful compared to his aflac's. The only reason this went for over $1,000 is because it's the first one out there. The buyer will be kicking himself when we find out how massively the base was produced once hobby comes out and the price on these drops, let alone how much the price will drop if topps floods the market with his auto with the rest of this years releases

if the odds are accurate he signed over 1000 base autos, so not likely. my guess is they will settle $400-500

I doubt they will sell at the $1K level all year.. it will probably be a few hundred lower that this. Thats a lot of base autos!

What's more interesting is the effect the hobby auto will have on the retail auto. Ugly on card vs ugly sticker. Which will be considered more valuable?

What was Strasburgs base auto selling for upon release last year? I want to say it was in that $400-$500 range. I can't believe the redemption is up to $800. I never would have guessed that these would sell near his Aflac auto price. I figured the blues #/250 might, but not the base. Just his auto prices alone are going to drive this product up. I wonder if there will be any extra parrallel besides the purple auto.

I'll take a chance at a harper on one Jumbo box but I will prolly hold on to the other 3 to flip.

dunno why everyone is putting so much stock into the 'apparent' final sale price of this '1st time on ebay' card. Sure, it could have been a legit sale, but there's also a very good chance it could have been someone just interested in driving up the prices of the product. Especially with stuff with this kind of hype. It sets the precent for other sales to come. Happens all over ebay.
Unless I don't see that same card re-listed by the same person within a month, then I typically assume it was just a 'market driven' fake sale.
Call me a pessimist.

Strasburg's base autos last year were selling in the $ 300- $ 400 range while his Blues were doing about $ 400- $ 500.
That was before he made his debut however. Both sets of numbers doubled on June 9th.

So once again, just like with the 2010 Bowman Chrome, their sell sheet info has false advertising. Last years sell sheet for chrome had a pic of Strasburg with 1st Bowman chrom card which was false, and now this year the sell sheet had the base auto for Harper with the 1st bowman card on it. Man, Bowman sure does lie to its customers.

This one was weird because they knew when they printed it that it was not his 1st bowman card right?

Why are people saying the retail autos will be stickers? Is there a separate retail version listed on a checklist somewhere?
