So this is basically a "delight" format to regular 2024 Chrome. It looks more like stadium club Member's Only boxes. Inter Miami got their own insert lol SMH.

Was looking forward to normal hobby with 2 autos but looks like all the better stuff will be in these "Mania" boxes.

I thought the MLS Rennaissance was a stretch at 2 cards for $200.

That's now at $79 (I am hoping it hits $40 for BF sales), as then it will be a potential buy.

For this product, retailing at $600 a box, I see value at $120. So we have a little ways to go:D

My "favorite" current pricing is the Topps Premier League Gold at $310 a box. I paid $40 a few years back. It's obscene. That's D&A.

I'm officially 'on hiatus' from buying product, any product. Can't see where I buy back in though, if I'm honest. Sets are largely beyond garbage, painful watching people try and convince themselves that Dynasty was a good release. It was god damn awful. The cards looked like public sector lanyards.

But everything makes sense if you consider that the target audience is now breakers & gamblers, not collectors.

Who cares if collectors like us buy a few boxes here and there if breakers are buying hundreds of cases of every product no matter what the release price is.

So glad I won't have to pay $350 for a chance at a debut patch. No Debuts in checklist.

Hobbies at $120 for 2 autos isn't so bad since last year launched at $99.
No odds yet so not sure if Blasters will have a chance at patches.

Autos - 1 in every 134 blaster packs.

Debut patch - 1:220,500 blaster packs.

While I agree that 2 autos is better than 1, this should be a $60 product.

There is no info on the 'balance' of autos, so that means, 99%+ are going to be worthless.

Looks like the blasters only have 2 debut patches? some napkin math..

total hobby packs: 78,870 x 8 = 630,960 / 19,120 (1 debut) = 33 patches
Counted a total of 35 on the checklist. Goodluck with those blasters!

Joined a couple of inexpensive breaks these past couple of days for the MLS Chrome products.

Case 1 - 2 x /5 cards, Lampard Auto /10, a few solid MLS autos.
I hit none of my Union guys, which was a little disappointing. ($35 for 6 spots)
Handful of Messi base. $217 for that spot.
No other Miami autos (Suarez - $51 spot, Alba $20 spot)
No other legends, no 1/1, couple of SPs

Case 2 and 3, 1/1 (nice looking random MLS bloke)
2 x /5 cards, a couple /10 cards, handful of /25 and /50's
I hit 4 Union autos, including a Carranza /10, so very positive (read lucky)
(7 Spots were $35 total)
Messi spot - 8-10 base/refractors - $517 for the spot
Suarez (one SP) - $215, Alba - $51 - Nothing
No other legend autos, a few SPs, a few numbered legends cards

In summation, if you like a specific MLS team, and it isn't Miami or Galaxy, you have a shot at a bargain in a case break, but for $120 a box it is yet another huge mistake by Topps.

It's probably a $40 value product, so back down to the current value of the 2022 MLS Chrome or Finest (aka pre Messi)

Hobby is very light on Messi hits from what I've seen. When breaks start going up for the Mania boxes, all of the Messi chasers are taking their money there and hobby breaks will start slowing down.
The Pick your player type breaks are solid alternatives for people who actually collect MLS.

The Mania boxes have an exclusive insert featuring only Messi and the 3 pink parallels. Topps should've just names these "Messi Mania" boxes.

This has been my observation as well. Very little value per box.
Even some cases are better than others. Not super consistent.

Seems like all the Messi stuff was put into Mania boxes. I would skip the Messi spot in Hobby and full send in Mania if I was going to spend $400.

Watched some bloke breaking a case of MLS Mania.

He mentions $1905 for the case, so roughly $380 per box.

So online stores were asking close to $600 per box (now down to $500), $3,000 per case.

So marking the product up 57%, which is insane given the market.

For MLS Chrome boxes, at the card fair we went to Saturday in PA, I saw a high of $140, and a low of $90.

Again, this should be $40 before you can blink.

But they are selling out quick! So it's within market demand currently. Extremely limited product compared to regular chrome which will be around for years. I watched a lot of cases fill very quickly at $500+ / box.

If you are looking for parallel autos then YES but there's plenty of low numbered stuff and case hits.

Topps 10x the parallels so blasters have their own wave exclusives.
It's actually cheaper to hit a red in blasters than hobby. It's Red Wave only though.

I'm not a big hobby-buyer though so when people always bring up blasters aren't bad "compared" to hobby it's sort of irrelevant for me as it wasn't an option of hobby or bunch of blasters. I'm more a 1-2 blaster person and odds seemed terrible that were posted unless maybe you are opening by the case.

Also as I said I'm going off the fact they were also left on the shelf which has nothing to do with me lol Panini Premier League Mega Boxes actually all got snatched up, UEFA stuff usually goes, I'm not exaggerating it's usually only the worst of the worst that isn't bought or stolen lol was right beside the other undesirable Topps Chrome Tennis lol I'll prob pass as I usually rip a Topps Holiay for Christmas and WWE Select retail is looking good but if still there next week I may try a box and I'll post results.
