There is a negative CJ Stroud thread, but I didn't see one for positive discussion of him, so I started this one. Feel free to show off your CJ cards and talk about your praise of him.

Off to a decent start to his career. Just needs to take that next step to feel like a contender. Big drop off in stats but sophomore slumps are common. Dude gets sacked a lot. Not sure how bad their Oline is or if it’s him holding too long.

Serious question to those who watch a lot of CJ Stroud: are we thinking Stroud has issues with hanging his WRs out to dry and getting them hurt?

It might sound crazy, and we can say it's just bad luck... but the amount of serious injuries WRs catching passes from CJ - both at OSU and in NFL - is pretty staggering.
The guy does have a throw-it-up-for-grabs style of passing, no doubt.

I would just throw this idea out there... not feeling sorry for the WRs as they are doing a job, but just saying it'll affect Stroud's stats also if so many his WRs end up on IR.

Would like to see him get rid of the ball faster next season and stop taking so many sacks, especially if the o-line can't improve

Ideally in the draft we get a better guard and some extra weapons for him, can't see us bringing back diggs even if he did alright unless it's for real cheap

I don’t trust Nick Caserios ability to draft offensive line talent and I don’t trust Bobby to fix the communication problems in his scheme.

I get it, he's a pocket passer at heart, but the guys who can scramble extend drives and give their teams a better chance to win. I know Brady, Goof (not a typo), and a few others might disagree, but it seems to me a mobile QB is a must these days.

YES! He should take off when he needs to and not hesitate. He did that against the Chargers it worked great

Look at Allen or Burrow or others (top 3-5 QBs, which Stroud likely never will be).
Only their RCs and SSP stuff carries any value at all.

But they're still ugly cards that have a thin buyer pool.
Instant Panini (or ToppsNow) just don't do very well. People don't understand them.
Ditto for the Panini National and Fathers Day and other oddball sets - tough to comp and few buyers.

For ppl who think CJ Stroud will be good, simply wait for licensed autos (when Topps/Fanatics takes over NFL). It may very well save you some money to just wait and see how he does... he could be the next Herbie (all downhill after ROY year?) or he could settle among the elite QBs in the league. It's more likely to be the former imo. Every decent WR the guy has gets hurt... college and pro.

Im eagerly waiting to get this KABOOM! back from PSA. I bought it raw and when I received it I thought it looks so flawless I just have to send it for grading! :cool:
