I pretty much left the hobby over the state of breakers, prices and greed. But every now and then I grab an epack of something. Had a weird feeling something good was going to come and it did I think? I already had it shipped to me so I can't grab a picture of it? I looked everywhere on the site. Anyways

2022-23 Ultimate Collection 2021-22 Update - Shield Patch Parallel - Ultimate Rookies Auto

My first ever shield auto 1/1 and I have no clue who he is because I was focused on the 22-23 draft class but this is an update? (another annoying thing with the hobby to me). Any blues fans have some insight into him?

I am happy but super confused with the value , if much at all. Likely to stay pc just to ogle.

Thanks for reading.

Just so you know (or for anyone else that stumbles upon this), for ultimate on epack they have a "point quest" for a few months after the release of the product. Accruing quest points of a player gives you leaderboard points for the prizes at the end of a quest. The people with the most leaderboard points get exclusive cards including shield autos of the top rookies and low #d autographs of big players, so cards with high individual quest points are highly coveted.

Most cards are worth 1 or 2 points, and most boxes will have the best card worth 5-10. The 1/1 Shield autos are worth 100 quest points, basically guaranteeing you the maximum leaderboard points for that player. You probably would have had more value out of it by trading it within epack, rather than pulling it and shipping it to you.

I got a Ultimate card in a trade last month on epack. Was just an auto worth 4 points. Had me 57th in the leaderboards lol. Top like 200 will get something when the contest ends in 2 months. Seems most people had theirs shipped/sent to COMC.
