It's possible the seller has no idea, but the numbering on this Elway doesn't match what the real ones look like. Aftermarket/bankruptcy blank autos that someone added numbers to later maybe?

How does this ebay seller seem to have endless Mays and Hank Aaron autos available? Look at his feedback of what people have bought and what's for sale. Not to mention he keeps having the same Upper Deck Barry Sanders and Dan Marino plus a couple others for sell as well.

Fake stuff is bought and sold on eBay and elsewhere every day.
If you go looking for trouble, you usually find it. And you'll waste your time.

If you buy a reprint not labeled as such, a fake auto, etc... then report it.
You can report auctions you see and suspect fake if you want... but sounds here like you don't even really know what you're looking at?

I love black pen autos and the manufacturers dumb fascination with blue ink I'm limited to what black on card autos I can obtain. But I agree, the autos are hard to see on those cards unless in person.

It's certainly not ideal but that checklist was too good to not. I actually preferred other autos in that release but one dumb dumb had to sign their cards in blue and it ruined everything for me. I use to just accept that there is going to be an idiot that signs the wrong side of the card, wrong spot, or uses the wrong pen but I've become jaded and unforgiving in my old age.

I went ahead and ordered one of the fake cards for examination and to better educate myself. Requested a refund the day I got it and he refunded within minutes. He clearly doesn't want me to ship it back because he then would have to pay for shipping. He used the excuse of his kids did it, classic. Told me to throw it away. Meanwhile, he's already got another one listed.


So to start off his ebay account says Florida but the shipping label was Atlanta, GA. Irrelevant I guess, what fascinates me most is how they get the gold Autographics stamping so accurate yet everything else is so bad.

The card itself is about three times thicker than a real one, glossy (real ones aren't) and the authenticity stamp is visible on the counterfeit but not embossed like a real one.

Turn the card over and it becomes even more obvious with the pixelated NFL logo. Looking at terapeak this fake looks to get sold often.
