I think even fans of the set already have enough Mulder and Scully autos at this point.

The property might get hit again if the Disney+ reboot ever happens. That series has been delayed forever. And the 10-year (or so) ago reboot didn’t seem too well received. Although I loved the Darrin Morgan eps.

I feel like there isn’t much ePack activity in general since Marvel left. So it’s not really selling too well there. Also the Xfiles property is kind of in a lull but Ryan Coogler’s reboot (if it’s still on) could reignite interest in the series. Everything he touches seems to do well.

And then you wonder if Topps starts releasing X-files cards under its Disney license once the Coogler reboot series starts airing episodes on Disney+.

It was odd that Upper Deck couldn’t use the term “X-files” when dropping the news of the latest set on ePack. The headline said “A Government Conspiracies Trading Card Product is Now Available!” instead.

Fair enough. I guess these were in my blindspot caused by Marvel glitter and gold. I just looked through the autos from all three X-Files sets. I didn't realize just the borders changed colors. No wonder I can't keep straight which Robert Patrick cards I already had.

I realize there has been a recent mass exodus from ePack with users either moving on to chase the Topps Marvel sets OR going back to chase the old, long gone Upper Deck Marvel sets like Platinum or Fleer Ultra Wolverine. However, I still think there are some cool deals to be had by buying the recent UD stuff on COMC as the collector dollars have flowed elsewhere.

Here are a few cool X-files sketches I have picked up from this set… Faustino was one of my favorite Dino artists so glad to pick up two of his (first two below)…
