Im ready for a 2025 National forum.

Cabrera, Beltre & Helton.

Every Antetokounmpo.

Some cool NCAA championship coaches not currently (as of 5/19/25) under investigation.

Nice list of new auto guests.

Also, Johnny Bench and Larry Csonka are battling out for most times at NSCC. No official record, and I have no idea if this is accurate, but I'm still rooting for Johnny!

Extra booths this year for new guys!

Getting in and out of National wont be an issue!

So many exclamation points! I'm excited.

Chicago 2025!!

Just a friendly PSA:

Take a daily shower, preferably before you arrive at the National.

Yeah, as someone who rents a house away from the venue every year, It can be a pain trying to fight through the parking garage across the street from the Stephens, while Cleveland was out away from everything else. The only traffic needing spots were National guests, and the lot was big enough for every single person to park there. People complain about the line to get in the east entrance to the lot, but if you just used the west entrance there was literally zero wait all week. I love the location in Rosemont, but parking there is not nearly as nice as it was in Cleveland last year.

That said, looking forward to the additional space this year. While the Stephens can feel a little more disjointed than a nice open square room(s) like Cleveland, it doesn't really bother me. And adding a second floor with new dealers should be fun.

The only issue I have with parking in the garage across the street is trying to remember how to get back to my car after a long day of looking at cards. I feel like I am guessing my way through it as I go through the walkways. It wasn't too bad at the Sports Spectacular in March, though.

Are you saying that Detroit and Atlanta are the ONLY options for 2028 or they are being tabled as another possibility other than Cleveland or Chicago?

With VIP passes no longer containing free parking, there will be plenty of expensive garage space available right across the street for easy in and out access.

At least with Rosemont you have a chance at staying safe.

Cleveland was super easy to get in and out of if you had any idea where you were going (and yes I realize most people aren't local)

We stayed at 150th and if you came in West, or as I can it the nature preserve side (when we used to drive that with my Grandparents when I was a kid), it was in and out

People just lost their ever loving mind on day one and it took over social media

It was super easy in real life

Can't tell if either of these are better or worse than Atlantic City.

Can always count on you to say dumb stuff. Go to any major city there are bad spots and spots that are perfectly fine.

Born and raised in NYC, definitely not the safest place but that’s only in certain spots. Chicago is not known to be the safest place ever, but you’ll be safe at the show.

The Chicago National is actually in Rosemont, which is a very safe suburb.

the commercial areas of these cities are far safer than the small towns a lot of scared people come from. Math can be hard, though

I'd assume this is more likely what they mean by "Atlanta" as opposed to downtown. And it would be a great location similar to "Chicago" aka Rosemont, but with the added bonus of Braves games being a short walk away.

I liked AC simply because it’s close enough to drive. But I’m glad to see them mixing it up a little. Both Detroit and Atlanta have some really cool areas. I’d personally prefer Atlanta because it’s closer, but just glad it’s not staying in the same place forever.

Selfishly would rather it be at World Congress than Cobb purely for ease of getting there.

From what I've heard it would likely be at The World Congress Center where they do the Car Show. If so that place is huge and more than big enough.

Yeah if they hold it in the room where they do the SEC championship FanFest then I feel it's more than big enough. (In addition to multiple other rooms they have there)

i'm guessing they must be getting a good deal to consider either city for 2028. i figure there must be lot of hotel options available close by these convention centers to host large events. Atlanta in 1st week of august will be fun weather for sure.

I am ok with them mixing it up. Selfishly, I would love for it to be in Chicago as it's a quick drive down from Milwaukee. But I know that location can become cost prohibitive for so many collectors and switching it up will give other collectors a chance to experience it.

Pittsburgh should put in for the 2029 National. We have a massive convention center right down, has 2 floors in it. A ton of hotels downtown as well. Make it happen!

Last year a member posted the results of an exhaustive poll that they conducted on social media. 200+ people (not a typo—over 200!) participated in this airtight study, which resulted in data that proved that Fanatics Fest was going to take a chunk of attendees from the National. Clearly only someone who felt threatened would challenge such quantitative data. Let’s see what the attendance looks like at this year’s show and revisit in August…LOL

Too funny. I have no interest in Fanatics Fest, personally. I think Fanatics isn't interested in replacing The National, they are interested in replacing Comicon or maybe Disney World. To them, The National is like a local card show; irrelevant.

EQL for the exclusives is fine but I don't care for the fact that you have to be there in person to pick up the product and can't have it shipped to you. If you win the lottery it shouldn't matter IMO. But it is what it is.

Rosemont is within driving distance, so I plan to go for at least a day. Sales tax is nuts in Chicago though.

Here we are—going to be hearing a lot of crickets, as this show (not) shockingly set attendance records. Again. LOL
