There can only be one hobby alpha male per team - who will it be for the Royals?

George Brett will always be George Brett. There's nothing that will change in the next 3 years that will cause someone to surpass him. As great as Bobby is, he won't surpass King George in 3 years. There will be moments of excitement, and by the time his career is over, who knows? But 3 years? Nope. 1975 Topps > 2022 Topps. George also signs a lot less frequently than most baseball legends.

I interpret the OP to mean current players.

Can somebody who picked Caglianone share their thought process? Just want to see what the sentiment is

I did imply their active roster, but I listed king George in the poll in the event anyone may be so disillusioned by the royals contemporary team in three years that they would list Brett as the current roster alpha male even though he retired decades ago.

Well, according to some guy in the Jacob Wilson thread, it's all over already for BWJ. Three years from now Jac might be the only one in the league.

From what I remember that guy noted that BWJ lacked a bit of power in his swing. Maybe Jac has that power... ;)

If he produces, power always wins out. The game and hobby are both bigger than ever. Our game has expanded to reach countries all over the globe and the internet wasn't a thing when Brett played. So although he is loved by the Royals fanbase, a lot of the fans going to the park today never watched him. His fandom won't grow or expand at this point. Bobby Witt Jr is incredible and his style of play is my favorite. All around player that checks every box. But if Caglianone comes up and hits (thats a big if right now) its going to change that team and everyone will want his jersey. Witt draws fans, but I see him as more of a purest fan favorite. Cags will put new arses in seats if he is constantly hitting 450 ft homers. Its just hard to beat the popularity of a power hitter. And with his size, he has a chance to be one of the top guys in the league when it comes to HR highlights.

If it’s not Bobby Witt then KC better be spending huge money on a free agent.

The only way to see the poll through Tapatalk is by viewing it in webview. You can do that by pressing the three horizontal dots in the top right corner bringing up a menu with a few options. It's not an optimal solution as that is still webview.
