I doubt he's preview exclusive, so will the main product have an alternate image?

There's no hint of the release date for the main product.
What is a reasonable expected release date?

Yes, the first three films. I do think they definitely could get some of the people from the Lost World Jurassic Park and JP3 as 'lesser known' signers.

I can see William H Macy , Tea Leoni, maybe Vanessa Lee Chester doing autos for the set.
I think the main JP stars will likely be the big 'chase' autos and thus more limited, and the more 'common' autos being the TLW or JP3.
If its like past CZX sets, yeah, I can see it being an auto and a sketch.

Vince Vaughn would also be a very nice one IMO. Really looking forward to this set if it has a bunch of the main casts signers. It has to have Goldblum, Neill and Dern to really make it work IMO.

Been very impressed with past CZX sets Middle Earth & DC Heroes/Villians, they were able to get a very impressive amount of stars to sign on card. If they were able to pull off some of those signers, then this should be a win. Some dulas and triples could be really fun too.

Not going to hold my breath for this release. What We Do in the Shadows. In Seasons 1 and 2 was supposed to be released March of 2024. We are now at September 2025 (as of now). So I would say 2027 release.

Cryptozoic replied to a fb comment saying that for the preview set there would be 'presale to pick up at SDCC', with details coming today. I have a feeling that limited to 500 of the preview set, that people might gobble up the entire presale.

More and more celebrities have moved to a "minimum price" for their autographs (probably at the instruction of their manager).

Fifteen years ago, we could get B-list actors for $5-10 each because "signing cards are easy and not a hassle." Then they saw them sell for $50-70 on the aftermarket and wanted a piece of that pie.

But you make my point all-the-more ... if Cryptozoic got lucky and snagged 100 autos at $15 each, that makes a $50,000 product (retail) an even better deal.

My one issue with Cryptozoic Middle Earth was glossy finish on autos with black ink pen. A lot of autos are streaky. Hopefully they change pens or paper.

I just got back from Comic-Con so it's fresh in my mind what I spent. I can get it back very easily, though my results are far from typical.

I only went on Sunday. Two tickets were $135 total and pre-paid parking was $30. In the Hall, I bought a water for $6.50. We're 100 miles away from the convention, so gas wasn't too much, so we were probably in $200 in for the day.

Started out going to the Adult Swim carnival which is outside the convention hall on the beach side. We got two "Smiling Friends" vinyl figures upon entry. I haven't even seen the show, but those sell for $100 a piece which is nice. Also got a Morty Beach Towel and Inflatable Pickle Rick, plus a couple of enamel pins from one of their new shows.

The "King of the Hill" event was right next to it. There we played some more games and each won a new boxed pin set of the four main characters drinking beer at the wall, with a 5th pin, Bobby, who is now old enough to drink with them. Those seem to sell for about $80 out of the gate. They also gave us KOH various logo trucker hats (patches ironed on right there in front of you!), beer koozies, temporary tattoos. We also saw BBQ aprons, but I think they'd run out of those by Sunday. All of that stuff is also sellable, but I'm a big fan of the show, so I'll keep some of it. They also had food, decent-sized portions of bbq beef(?) and sausage, plus coleslaw, macaroni & cheese, actual aluminum "Alamo Beer" cans filled with ice-cold water, and even tables to sit at and eat it. It was a classy presentation on Hulu's part and probably the biggest promotional event the show has ever received. After a few pushes for the first few seasons of the original run in the 90's, it went basically unadvertised by Fox for its final decade.

The two events above were actually free. For the events outside of the convention hall, you usually don't need a Comic-Con badge, and there are many more like them, just be ready to stand in line, probably in the sun.

So in our case, we more than covered everything from just the free stuff, including the $50 dinner we stopped for on the way home. But your point is well taken as our experience is clearly atypical and the costs of flying in, staying in a hotel, maybe renting a car, add up fast.

Here's my report of the non-sports cards related stuff I did at Comic-Con on Sunday which at least mentions the CZX Jurassic Park cards, haha.

I picked up a couple more Freak Brothers boxes and set of the deeply discounted Dancing Peacemaker figures, the regular and the blood-splattered.

With the 10% coupon, it was $167, so the $150 free shipping kicked in. At some point, I can hopefully sell the Peacemakers, and anything I can get for the pair over $17 comes off the Freak Brothers boxes. I still wish they did a regular set for those, as originally planned, but these are still way better than nothing.

So I'm guessing duals for Sam Neil and Laura Dern and maybe Trio for Sam, Laura and Jeff?

Sketches they say can be either human OR dinosaur. So your mileage may vary on the character if you get a human character from JP3 for example. (Im a huge fan of Jurassic so I dont care that much about getting a sketch or auto of say, Tea Leoni)

Dern has signed plenty of stickers for Americana and Star Wars in the past, although she didn't sign for the recent Twin Peaks sets, so it's hard to say on her. Goldblum has signed some cards and also CD covers and things like that in the past. I'm thinking Sam Neill would be the toughest get. He's definitely the card I'd want the most. Julianne Moore would be pretty great, too.

Nah. Cryptozoic doesn't sell trading cards on their own website. It will always say "Sold Out," -- You need to find an authorized distributer. I think they use like six different distributers to sell their product.

It depends on the print run on the "common" inserts. If a non-numbered insert has 500 copies, then the number of boxes should be (500+303)X 9 = 7,227 boxes.

So I'm mostly in this for the Autos/Sketch as I have a box pre ordered.

But I do agree I really do want to see the concept cards and how they look.

I'm guessing the high end autos as I said might be the main trio with most of the autos being TLW/JP3 with BD Wong or Martin Ferrero etc as the 'common' auto for JP.

Yeah...I got mine at SDCC. They had them available multiple days...I bought them at the original retail of 100 each. I should've bought a couple more I feel lol. Especially now that the previews are so expensive.

But at least I managed to pre order one of the hobby boxes so hope my auto/sketch isnt lame lol. The Hobby boxes also come with concept cards apparently.
