I'm willing to bet we see a Cactus Jack situation here where there are tons of winners because they printed way too much of this stuff.

Don't forget opportunity cost.

Sinking a couple hundred/thousand into a product that moves slowly only to net a small profit (or break-even) means that you'll have a couple hundred/thousand less to put into something else that can actually make you some real gains.

It's not always easy to identify which products are great-value and/or will explode in value but that doesn't mean you should take a position in all products either.

They should be back up the day of the official release.

Topps has been doing pre-sales then release more at a higher price the day of the "official" release.

Boxes went for $99 at presale. Topps will likely raise them to $119/129 when the actual release comes around.

And only one case was won through EQL so about .02% of cases made were put up. If they made this much, I have to figure that at some point, the Disney market is going to be quickly saturated.

Anyone buying into breaks at that price is going to have a horrible time. This set won't have the value, it's paper with some sketches and autos.

Saw a 5 blaster break, looks brutal - meaning the actual numbered hits should legitimately be worth something. This seems more like a set-builder product, which, good. I might've done a Topps Gold-style high numbered card too to reassure people that yes, there is a limit to this, but otherwise looks fine for what it is.

Low box price and breaks are steady selling for about $200 a box.
There's an auto just about every case or a sketch sometimes both.

While it is a paper product, there are big cards to chase in the set.

Be curious to see what happens over time. I just looked at the odds sheet and while I understand this was printed to the moon it doesn't mean these cards are any easier to obtain. Maybe over time people will realize how rare some cards are and will go up in price.

They aren't under pricing the cards. People know Fanatics is going to print thousands of parallels of these characters and the box price is artificially inflated.

My wife got her 4 boxes from Topps this morning. Went ahead and ripped one at lunch.

Numbered card was a Purple Yzma to 99. She told me she thought she saw something nice and saved that pack for the end.

Slow rolled it, thought it might be a sketch. Told her she couldn't be that lucky, probably just something else. Then we saw it...

I opened a mega, was pretty fun felt like a hobby box since it’s been awhile since I’ve had retail with that many packs. Sure it’s not chrome but there’s possibilities as mentioned (I got a Pinocchio Chrome die-Cut When You Wish Upon A Star) and thus mega was half the price of chrome for me. I think the base look great and yes I also prefer chrome but people also rip paper baseball and basketball now before chrome hits, it’s not like paper cards are obsolete and as also mentioned this will have some sleeper monsters.

Funniest thing I noticed is to me “Seasons Greetings” insert looks straight ripped from Panini Prestige football insert, even called the exact same lol

Won’t lie I opened blindly and was glad it wasn’t just female characters. Realized both blaster and mega only show females and thought it may of been like that lowkey marvel release for a second.
