The only one I would part with is the /25 Triple Dimensions. All of these I got months before the market got crazy.

Cardshow hustlers tried offering me $18K for the PSA 9 Rookie back in April saying it would "never appreciate to a 25K-30K for another decade". I guess a decade = 5 months in the world of scammers.

I love that blackstar Meowth more than some Jordan autos. Some high-end sports dealer who reeked of cigarettes saw my Jordan page at FanaticsFest and turned to see Pokemon and looked at me like a deadbeat father and went "Why do you have Michael Jordan and all this gay Pokemon stuff?"

One of the worst investment decisions I ever made as a collector was passing on these on-card MJ autos at $500-$1,000, which could be had all day. Now these are $10k+. It's crazy how much these cards go for.

I always look at early 2010's prices like "Man I should have invested sooner" then remind myself I was a teen who didn't have $500 to my name at that point.

I had a few dollars and kept kicking the can down the road. I vividly remember passing up Judge and Ohtani autos because who pays 300 for a Gold Chrome RC auto?

Well I wasn't a teen and had some money LOL. Full disclosure, I invested heavy in MJ stuff just not autos. Focused more on his 1986 Fleer RCs, Sticker RC, 80s stuff, etc. They definitely appreciated a good deal but not quite as exponentially as his on-card autos.

On the bright side the MJ Fleer rookie is the closest thing to cash as you can get at card shows. With some of my autos people like to get picky about this or that quality of the card.

Saw no real future in his collegiate stuff. Turns out even signed Bellagio baccarat chips have 5x'd.

Back when I might have been able to buy a MJ auto I was busy opening boxes. NGL as much as I probably should have gotten one, I don’t regret using the money for Tim Duncan autographs.
