Has anyone ever used a penny auction site like costdropper or beezid? Any opinions, positive or negative?

There was a news piece on these sites. Make sure you google them/BBB them to make sure they are legitimate. I know many of them are quite shady.

I'd assume beezid is OK, and I know quibids is good, but honestly its like a very bad form of gambling and you won't win anything without investing a ton of $

Personally, I don't think it's worth it. You have to buy the bids (quibids is $.60 per bid), pay the final auction price, plus a service and/or delivery fee. And that's just the ones you win. If you don't win, you're out however many bids you place. And they don't make 'em easy to win

I just read a report how quibids is making a ton of money, so it's obviously in their favor, not ours

You've got to just be one of the people who bid/win the "10000" bids tokens, or whatever they are. Or, just be willing to spend thousands of dollars to come out ahead. I tried quibids a long time back and was able to win a couple gift cards but, it takes pure luck, and many other people giving up, to even "win". In the end, I was lucky to break even and didn't bother with it ever again.

I am sure there are people who buy 1000+ bids and just sit there bidding 1 cent, hundreds of times, to win the electronics, etc. If you had the time and patience to do it, I am sure you can come out ahead. If you're looking to win 1 or 2 things, just keep moving along. You'd be better off just paying retail or finding a reputable eBay seller.
