Who do you think is the nicest player in the NBA? Whether you've met him or...
Me, I think Kevin Durant is but I wanna hear what everyone else has to say.

Feel free to also post who you think the meanest is too. (not Lebron cause everyone knows that)
Mine vote goes to Tyler Hansbrough.

I wanna hear from everyone but especially those of you who do IP graphing.

I would agree, Kevin Durant would get my vote for the nicest player, which is saying a lot since he is 1) 2 time defending scoring champion and 2) amongst the top 5 players in the league. It's saying a lot that someone that successful is still a humble and nice guy, and its one of the many reasons he's my favorite player ;)

Ron artest by a mile!!!

I don't personally know any players, but I live in Sacramento and I remember Ron used to come on the radio all the time. Seemed like a really good guy and he did a lot of events and appearances around town too. He gets my nod.

Ron artest by a mile!!!

hes was surprisingly really good with the fans when he was with Houston. He joked around with us and asked us who our favorite team was and I obviously said the Celtics and he was like "Naaaaah hahaha" and rubbed my head which was a little weird but none the less, hes a good dude.

Of all the players I've met (including Durant), I'd have to say the 2 nicest were Brandon Jennings and Omri Casspi. Both guys were really nice and Jennings was even joking around with us. Both class acts.

As for the "meanest", I'd have to say DeMarcus Cousins or Javale McGee. Both guys thought they were the coolest dudes in Cooltown. It was crazy watching Cousins walk away from an NBA mandated signing session, with 2 kids standing in the front of a 15 person line, just because the minimum time amount(15 mins) was up. What a D-Bag.

Well if there was one guy who i could depend on signing something for me after a Hard/Tough loss would be Kevin Durant. I mean, i've watch his games during the playoff and even after losses, and that crushing loss to the mavs in 5, he still kept his head up and gave high fives to fans as he walk passed the tunnels, usually u see guys head down and angry. But for me personally, that i've met, sasha vujacic was nice. Kobe on the other hand was different, but still is my favorite player by a mile

Jennings is pretty nice (met him twice last season) Omri is just the normal nice NBA player.
For me, Cousins signed and took a pic with me but I said thank you 3 times and unlike most players he didnt say anything.

The entire (and that's not stretching the truth) Bucks roster is nice. Maybe if they got some D-bags on the team they'd win more games

He's passed now, but nobody will be a good as Waymon Tisdale was to fans

He stayed for autograph sessions until everyone had his sig, even if it was hours past scheduled time. He always had a smile on his face and absolutely loved people

And for a recent meeting, a couple years ago I ran into Mitch Richmond at Mandalay Bay w/ Chris Mullin. Mullin was a jerk and barely acknowledged my hand. Mitch shook it and gave me a minute of his time talking Kings b-ball

The great ones never forget how lucky they are to be afforded celebrity. The others think they're OWED it

i haven't met a lot, but tyreke evans was pretty nice. i'd have to say one of the easiest players to talk to was dominique wilkins. i even went as far as bash on him a bit for having no idea who one particular player on the hawks roster was and he had a good sense of humor

Armon Johnson for me. As I was Leaving the Blazers game after geting autographs I saw him in the parking lot with 3 people. I walked over with a buddy. When I got there I saw him giving high-fives to the kids and talking to the parents. After that he talked to us for 3 min. and signed autographs for us. He's a great guy and I really he gets some playing time instead of bad players like Luke Babbit

Tim Duncan or Grant Hill.

David Robinson for back in the day.

I havent done any IP autographing since the 07-08 but Lindsay Hunter was one of the nicest players the league has ever seen. He was always polite and signed every game I was at. The only player I have experienced to reply with "you're welcome" during a warm-up signing after I thanked him for an auto.

Kevin Love was really nice when I met him last year, took his time with autographs and had a smile on his face the whole time. Dirk is also a very nice guy.

From my limited experience, I'd have to go with Ray Allen.

You can catch a great person on the wrong day and have a totally different opinion of them. That being said, some of the classier individuals I've seen in a setting away from an organized signing/team event (because I feel that can skew how the person behaves):
Grant Hill
David Robinson
Derek Fisher
Brent Barry
Dan Majerle
Mark Madsen
Shawn Marion

Cousins is probably the nicest/coolest. Dude is a big kid trapped inside of a NBA body, always goofing around and smiling. You'd have to be a real weirdo to get a bad reaction out of him. Great with the fans and even took pictures for people while holding their baby.

While he was in Seattle, Durant always signed after the games. He was real nice about it, inscribed if you asked and joked around.

Elgin Baylor is a great guy! he would always sign if you asked and took time to talk. Jerry West was always nice to sign autographs back when he ran the Lakers. Kobe in his rookie year was great about signing autographs. Walt Frazier is awesome! always loved to sign autographs. Clyde Drexler is super cool too.

Lebron James ... Dick! Patrick Ewing ... Dick! John Stockton ... Dick! These guys wouldn't evern acknowledge the fans. They wouldn't even wave "hi" to the fans. They will always seem to stick out in my mind as A-Holes in the NBA.

Magic Johnson wouldn't acknowledge the fans either until the TV cameras came around. Then he was all smiles and cool but once the TV cameras shut off he would ignore the fans too.

Ron artest by a mile!!! so true, he tweets, "I'm at this bowling alley, everyone welcome to come by and have some fun". Pickup football games at Manhattan beach. Parties with everyone in LA's night clubs. Great guy.

Derek Fisher is a really nice guy as well.
David Robinson, cold shoulder (when I was a kid). He did the same thing to Shaq when he was in HS, that's why Shaq hated him. Idolized him then got snubbed.

I've met almost every current NBA player...I'd have to say:

Jarrett Jack -- nobody in the league tops this guy as nicest
Dwight Howard
Kevin Durant
Roy Hibbert
Brandon Rush

There's actually a LOT of nice guys, but these are a few of the coolest ones I've been around...I talk to Rush a lot anyway, so that's why I listed him on there. I think otherwise he's sort of shy at games and such. And this list isn't based off of if they just signed autographs for fans, it's also based on their attitudes, conversations with them, and them recognizing people just out of the blue from games, events, etc I've attended. I might update my list above later on.
