I freakin hate the NBA Refs. They have more of an impact on the games than the players themselves. Last nights game seemed like all the calls were going against the mavs. Phantom fouls left and right, yet when there was an obvious foul against the Heats player nothing was called. Made me almost dropkick the hell out of my TV. Just let them play the damn game. NBA has become too much of a free throw game.

The calls were not in favor of the mavs much at all last night with this being the biggest screw up.

Lebron has been traveling all throughout the playoffs, but yeah bad/no calls go both ways

It's easy to blame the refs but honestly it is a difficult sport to referee with the rules the way they are. I use to complain a lot myself until I did a bit of refereeing and realized how different the game is when you have the whistle. In general the calls will even themselves out.

People are always going to make excuses for why they/they're team lost. While I agree there is such thing as bad refing, I don't think the outcome of the game can be determined by it.

when even the commentators are upset by the calls you gotta think that theres something wrong. the clean strip that caused Dirk the injury was a bad call too

Does the name Tim Donaghy ring a bell.
I didn't watch the game last night so I cannot comment on the refing in last nights game but the refs in the NBA seem to play a much bigger role in determining the outcome of a game than in any other major sport.

I'm just saying there are way too many factors in a basketball game to pinpoint just one. If one team is better than the other, they should win, plain and simple.

in general, with the Heat having two stars who drive to the basket and draw a lot of contact they are going to have a big advantage from the refs. Whether that is justified or not, is debatable.

Yep, it was totally the refs fault the Mavs shot their worst percentage in the playoffs.

lebrons crabdribble has all the refs hypnotized!!!
but seriously though refs are human and they do make a mistake now and again, but the nba refs are very very very good..
i only reallly find myself critisizing them when i have a big bet on a game and my team isnt doing so well..

I didn't think it was atrocious last night, but Lebron has gotten away with #@#@#@#@ for years. The refs definitely favor him, kind of like they did with MJ, except HE IS NOT MJ......

I couldn't care less who wins the finals this year honestly but poor officiating is part of why I stopped watching the NBA. The officiating is generally pretty poor and the stars (Kobe, Lebron, etc.) seem to get favorable calls on a consistent basis.

Lebron travels every time he drives to the hoop, Dirk acts like he gets hacked on every shot he takes, Bosh flops most of the time and I can't stand Mark Cuban. So what. It's the playoffs. Get over it !

we could use more owners who show as much passions as Cuban. At least he has been quite during the playoffs to not cost the team.
But yeah all the stars pull this crap some just seem to get favor. It's like after Dirk set the free throw record in game 1 they have cut down big time on sending him to the basket. but at least the mavs dont visibly complain as much after ever call as some teams do.(Heat, Bulls)

The calls are never going to go your way when you're playing against almighty Lebron. The Mavs are gonna have to beat the Heat and the refs in this series.

I am surprised I am the only one who has mentioned this, but the Mavs shot 6 more free throws than the Heat did.

.....I love when people are oblivious to the "fact" that the NBA is fixed. Do you honestly not remember Donaghy? He was supposed to come out with a list of names of other refs/officials who were involved and said most were. He was also going to come out with a book about all the scams and hidden secrets going on behind the scenes...the copies never hit shelves
The refing always changes from the season when it comes to the playoffs. Refs are much quicker to blow the wistle and create momentum shifts
fun fact for ya cj52racers.....Dwade shot more free throws than the entire Mavs team combined in the 2006 Championship series (i think 95/96)
In my personal opinion I believe Stern is behind it all. I find it very odd that Lebron (who has the highest # of jerseys sold in the NBA) gets all the calls and hardly ever gets called for T's when whining by throwing up his hands to the refs. I have no bias toward either team but I know when it comes down to it the most $$$$ wins the championship...sorry Mav's

According to what you said, wouldnt it be wise to put your life savings in betting that heats take it all the way.
