So I finally won my Kobe Slam Dunk Chronology Auto. I thought it was weird that my max bid ($303.08) was also the winning bid. Is there such thing as a ebay snipe for sellers to shill on the max bid to maximize the amount without actually "losing" the auction?

Most likely, the under bidder had placed a bid of $300

Theres no way the seller could know your max bid so they can maximize the shilling. Thats why the heavy shiller accounts have multiple bid retractions. If this were possible to know max bids then ebay would be horrendous for the hobby.
