Anyone else going to try this new product out? It's actually gone up in price a little.

Given the numbers I crunched for needing a full set (w/sp's) - I've got a case coming. Looks interesting. Also hoping to pull one of the original Mayo's, but I'm presuming chances for pulling one of those will be hard and I'd be better off getting on one ebay (especially if they put some form of buyback stamp on it which would ruin it). Hoping the parallels, gu, and autos sell really well since I'll be moving all of mine.

How many boxes did you calculate to complete the set? Was it exactly a case or a little less?

There are 55 SP's (per flyer, http://www.magazine-exchange.com/info/pdf/MayoFBHobby.pdf), but 40 based on the presell sheet (http://www.magazine-exchange.com/info/other/MayoFBhd.doc).

I'm hoping these fall no more than 1:4, but I've yet to see any insert rates for the SP's. Given 1:4 thats 6 a box. 8 boxes gives me 48 SP's. If you go to 1:6 on the SP's (4 per box), I'll only have 32 of the 40, so I'll be short. I'm not sure. Part of me wonders if I picked the wrong set to put together a full set, but we shall see.

I know I wont come close on the mini set (192 mini's per case, and 8 of those should be orange (Princeton) so now your down to 184, so you'd need 2 cases to put together a set of the mini's..... if your lucky) so I'm going to put those in a lot right off the bat, but may also sell them off line as I know a few guys that will be putting those sets together so saving me the fees and helping them out could be worth it (especially if I'm missing cards for my set )

Interesting. Thanks for the info fish. I think I'm up in the air as far as the mini's. I think I'm going to ease into this product with a couple boxes (I have two preordered) and go from there. If I like the set as much as I think then I'll probably do a case.

I'll start with 2 boxes and see how I feel afterward. I liked Turkey Red in the past as well as Allen & Ginters and this product seems to be along those lines.
