Quick question before I leave for work. Did it for 1st time last night, can I now just drop the envelopes off in the mail box or do I still have to bring them into the P.O.?
Thanks

Just drop them in the mailbox- they are ready to go.

The only thing I'd be careful of is your neighbors or if you have a mailbox that is very accessible. When I ship anything of value I do the Paypal shipping deal then STILL drop it off at least at a post office. Inside, outside doesn't really matter.

If you are going to leave them to be picked up in your mailbox, then you should schedule a pickup online at USPS.com. Your mail carrier will appreciate it.

Thanks everyone!! I have a sealed mail box only the postman and I have the key. Anyway I droped them of outside the PO.

All these years and never knew how easy it was. just have to decide if the paper, ink and tape are worth the 50 + cents. Sure beats standing in line though!!!

As long as one package is Priority or better, you can have arrange for the carrier to pick up all of them.

They'll pick up first class as well. typically if its more than a few packages I'll schedule the pickup just so my carrier knows.

black ink should only be like 10-15....tape 2-3.

It's totally worth it, plus it automatically emails the buyer.

If I dont use paypal I use the automated postal machine at the PO. Everyone stands in line for the regular service and I just walk to the automated machine and get my packages weighed/postage printed in less than a minute.

A Thermal printer could be your next time saver...and you can save even more money, I have to go through a bunch of supplies before I make the switch.

There's a thread on here about them and I know you can get one cheap on Amazon

OR You could purchase a bunch of printable labels cheap on EBAY...Still have to trim those babies though, another reason thermal is better :)!

One more question, when item weights 1.5 1.6 oz. do you put 1 oz or 2 oz seeing it has to be rounded to a whole #?

Yep, round up ...the PO does the same thing if you go to the window...

1.1oz = 2oz
2.1oz = 3oz
...and so on

Confirmed...you must round up....otherwise it will be returned (worst case scenerio) or will show up postage due.
