I normally don't spend the time to complete sets. I usually just help out others who are trying to. Since I plan to break more cases this year, I figured I should start selling some of the sets I can put together. My question is though, how do you guys ship your complete sets? Say in the 200-400 range? How do you package them? How much do you charge? Thanks in advance for any help.

I do all of my charges based on weight and location as this will vary depending on where you live and where you need to ship it to. For me shipping to CA (or getting something from CA is very expensive), but from Ohio or PA its affordable. If you use turbo lister you can actually set up the above in there.

Typically I'd say for a 400 card set your looking at 5-7 bucks (will be Priority). I typically just pack them tight in 400 ct storage box (for me a 400 ct set would be in a 6-800 ct box as mine as sleeved first), then use peanuts or something on the edges and I ship them that way.

Just curious, you sleeve all the common cards in the set?

Yep....I sleeve everything! So far I've got about 80% of my collection in sleeves. This has been a huge PIMA but I think it will be worth it in the long run since I have some bad brainiac idea of doing some sort of hobby store when I retire. Given the way things are going I'll most likely just end up doing it online...but there's hope yet...but last I checked I'm 36 years away from retirement (I'll have 46 years in with the gov't when I turn 67.5). The key being IF...if all goes well I'm hitting the door running 2 weeks after my 51st birthday :) I typically sleeve about 250,000 cards a year or more depending on what my budget allows (and yes for you doing the math thats about 685 every night, I did about 4K this weekend alone)....but yes this also means I have no life!

Haha. Well hats off to you for that. I was just making sure you do it that way because I tried boxing up a 350 card set in sleeves in a 550 ct box. Then I put it in another box with peanuts and weighed it and it came out to around $13. What am I doing wrong to where you only ship it for $5-$7

depends on how you ship it. I'm using paypals shipping option, but you can also use USPS online (which for some things is cheaper than paypal). But my guess is your trying to ship coast to coast, which will be the most expensive. In this case I'd use the flat rate mailers. I would think you could get this into a one of the smaller boxes and get this closer to 10 ish.

When shipping sets, I always used the USPS Priority Flat Rate boxes. For the regular Topps sets, you could get about 4 in there.

I use flat rate priority. Like stated above you can fit 3 or 4 sets in a box or 5-6 in the larger flat rate. $9.80 for the small flat rate and $12.80 for the large

I've actually sold a bunch of sets recently...kind of surprised by some of the sales actually...like one guy flat out bought my last 3 baseball heroes sets.

I've been shipping more expensive sets for free. Smaller sets I try to be around six dollars. You of course run into issues with the location and going over. I've also charged the Priority Flat Rate price, but have sometimes had the cost be less than that so I didn't have to use the flat rate box.

Also, if you use Paypal shipping you do not have the option to print out postage for the Large Flat Rate Box.

Nice sets i put in 9 pocket pages and a binder. The last one i ship was alittle over $15 bucks with insurance and DC using a large flat rate box.
