I have never sent anything in to be graded. Is it worth my while to send this in. It will stay in my PC

Condition looks really decent. Given its staying in your PC its up to you. I would probably do it as if I'm not mistake there are counterfeits out there, so at a minmum it would guarentee its an original.

Card looks pretty cherry to me. What do the corners look like? If you plan on keeping it PC, you might want to consider giving them a minimum grade and if it doesn't get that, just have it slabbed.

Bottom left of the card looks a little rough from what I can tell from the pic...but if you want to get it graded is up to you. It would be nice to make sure it's a legit RC...but at the same time, if it's just for PC...depends on what you want to do.

Corners are nice. Very little wear on one. very little!!!. I was thinking about a minimum grade of 8.5.

The bottom left is the only area with minor wear. Scan enhances it a bit. It's not that bad. I would want to make sure its not a counterfit.

Thanks. I think I will send it in. If it is not counterfit and hits an 8 I will get it graded. Otherwise I will just have them slab it for protection

Yeah, I've noticed with some of my stuff how much a scan can will show flaws. Otherwise, I'd say that's a very, very nice card. The centering looks great for that set. It'd be worth sending it in just to make sure it's legit and to have it slabbed for the pc.

Any ideas of what the determining factors were on the counterfits. Like the Marino you could tell by the back of the card and the Dolphins logo etc....

PSA 7 max, BVG might give it an 8. That corner kills it. Still a nice card though.

ya, if BVG won't give it an 8 I am just going to have it slabbed. Just having it authenticated and slabbed may be the way to go. It's going to stay in my PC

I'm a firm believer that any key RC or other player cards like Mantle or Ruth's should be graded no matter what the shape of the card. The protection value should be your main consideration with this card as well as making sure it the real deal. Hope this helps!
