He's quietly been one of the best pitchers in the game this season.
Now 11-3 with a 1.89 ERA.

I just watched the entire game and was really psyched to watch him pitch. He is a great all around pitcher and this isn't his first good season. I watch every game that he pitches, wouldn't miss them for the world. Well, only if there is a very good reason. My girlfriend has offered sex plenty of times but she knows now not to interrupt me during the game. Sex can wait until after J.J. wins or tosses a no decision which has only "not" happened 3 times.

I'm pissed he's pitching so well. I dropped him as a Keeper in my keeper fantasy league and now he turns into Greg #@#@#@#@in Maddux.

Yeah, I'm still loving the fact the Tigers traded him for Renteria
Hated the trade back in the day; hating it even more these days....He's a hell of a pitcher thats for sure, great stuff combined with great command. Putting on a real case for the NL Cy Young this season

not sure about Cy Young yet but better be the All Star Game starter.. Freddie Gonzalez has been doing a little lobbying for him .. Hes having a good season now lets hope they bench Uggla and move Prado back to second base...
and Heyward starting to heat up and my gosh Chipper wont retire if he keeps this pace up....If braves management can keep this bunch together then can win it all
Hears to a great second half for Braves fans!

Not sure about Cy Young yet? He leads the MLB in ERA and Wins (Tied). He's also got to be in the top 3 for winning%. Sounds like he at least has the potential. Have you seen him when his game is on? Simply incredible. He barely isn't on his game and even when he's not the worse he can do is give up a couple runs. Only 2 games this season has he given up 3 or more runs. That's consistent in my opinion.
And as for Heyward, yeah he's starting to get something going but still not batting to his full potential. Hopefully he goes on a streak and gets his average up above .250. I'm sure he will. Last night Heyward got the Braves on the board with a very nice HR. Chipper Jones is in a slump right now, he was 0 for his last 13 (I believe 13) but last night he hit a ball up the middle that got him an RBI. We need Prado back! We would probably only be a game behind the Phillies if he was playing. And throw Uggla away, in the Minors or something. He is what is holding the team back. Last night he struck out 4 times (what a dufus). Every time he's at the plate I just think to myself "automatic out". I just can't cheer for him or show my support. He is simply the worse player in baseball. I don't know what Gonzalez is thinking by keeping him in. I think Cox would have benched the guy for the rest of the season. Freeman is doing pretty well, starting to.

yea i think he has Cy Young stuff but to win it he will have to be far better then the next game if its a big name...Only thing Uggla got going is 2nd on team in HR's with 12.. but i love the outfield the way it is now and hope Prado gets to play 2nd and not LF but i dont see Uggla being benched anytime soon.. baseball a funny game hopefully Uggla goes on a tear like we know he can in the 2nd half.. as good as there are playing Damn Phillies playing better still haha

Just imagine if this guy could be consistent from year to year? Thats been his problem in Atlanta.

He always comes out with a winning record. He has a winning record every season he has pitched. But this is by far going to be his best season if he just pitches half as well as he is pitching now. To think he came up late in the season, could have wins # 12 or even 13.
Braves haven't been getting much offense so they rely on the great pitching from Jurrjens, Hanson, Hudson & Beachy. I'm now always optimistic when Lowe pitches. He doesn't have his best stuff this season. Not at all. I feel bad for Hudson, he has been pitching really well but never gets any run production. Last game he pitched the Braves didn't get a single run in his 6 innings at the mound and the game before that the only run production he got was from his own bat. His 6-6 record is deceiving. Hopefully tonight he pitches another gem.
Go Braves!
